Hotel La Casona

"Adorable!!! Great location and such a boutique feel. The rooms were good size, the had water in the lobby for us. The staff was super friendly and quick check in, they took us to our rooms, insisted on taking our bags for us (two rooms). We declined cleaning our rooms the next day and just requested towels, they were delivered quickly. The location was great, I am so glad we picked this place!"

"Check in was a breeze. The front desk spoke good English (unlike my other hotel in Iquitos). Facilities and rooms were clean and modern. I took the front desk my flight would be early that I needed a taxi and would miss breakfast. He understood and arranged a boxed lunch for me to pick up (I didn’t ask) during morning check out. Their attention to customers need allowed me to enjoy quick meal while waiting at the airport."

"Very clean room with amazing river view with my booking. Extremely friendly and helpful spanish speaking staff - use (google) translate app if you don't speak spanish. Average pool and was under maintenance. Many shops on the same street if you are looking for chips, pop/soda, and juice. Most of the nicer restaurants are closer to downtown square which is 7-10 minutes walk only. Area of improvement: Breakfast! only very few options. Nothing much for vegetarians other than fruits - pineapple, papaya, and water melon. They can make some scrambled egg or fried eggs if you ask, but the portion is quite small for me. I guess I can keep asking.. which does make me feel like I am eating too much?"
El Dorado Classic Hotel

"We had a great stay at the El Dorado Classic Hotel in Iquitos. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable overall, and it was a very nice place to stay before and after our time in the Amazon. Our room was clean and comfortable, the beds were very nice, and the air conditioning worked well, which was especially appreciated in the Iquitos heat. The hotel itself felt well maintained and modern, and the pool was a great place to relax. We also enjoyed the free breakfast, which was good and convenient before heading out for the day. Overall, the hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable and easy stay in Iquitos. We also want to give special recognition to Diego, the bartender and waiter. He was always attentive, friendly, and welcoming, and he always had a big smile. Diego helped make our stay even more enjoyable with his great attitude and excellent service. Overall, we had a very positive experience at El Dorado Classic Hotel and would recommend it to travelers staying in Iquitos who want a clean, comfortable, and convenient hotel with friendly service."

"I traveled with my family to the Cumaceba lodge. We stayed for three nights and four days. We had an amazing Amazon experience! Our guide Dixon was fabulous! He made our stay even better by his experience and knowledge of the area, animals, and flora. The 2 to 3 excursions per day kept us busy and always wanting to find more wonders of the rainforest. I would truly recommend this lodge if you are wanting a hands-on experience of the Amazon."
