This was the perfect place for us to stay during our travel to Monroe for baseball. When we weren’t playing ball we were able to enjoy the lake and lovely sunsets! We had the best time!

We loved loved Absolutely loved this property!!! We honestly wished we had booked more nights. The owner was extremely helpful and so welcoming! This place had everything And was just adorable. Best of the lake, right here!

This is such a cute spot to have a nice getaway! Very nice property and owner. A little further down the road the owners don’t seem to take as much pride in their property but this one is a GEM!

Absolutely perfect!

The cabin was just perfect. Close enough to town but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Capt Joe was very attentive to the walkway, as they had quite a bit of rain prior to our arrival and areas were flooded. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to be on water. to our atrival

Excellent Stay

The Slip Away was the weekend get-away that I did not know I needed. Every aspect of this cozy lake property was superb. It was the perfect place to unwind, do some fishing, and enjoy the scenery. I will definitely visit again!

We loved the privacy and peace and quiet of this beautiful place. The owner was wonderful and had the home stocked with almost everything you could want. Nice covered patio to sit on and set out lines for fishing (caught 2 catfish) i would highly recommend to anyone that needs a little getaway 😀

We do enjoyed our visit. Very clean and accommodating. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, kayaking, and grilling during the day....and nice quiet evenings on the water. We would love to come back and visit.

Love ❤️ the water 💦, and this little floating cabin was just the thing to totally relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Just perfect for recharging your mind and body. The town of Monroe La. was really cute too!! Had great food ! Downtown had Christmas Lights. Overall a great getaway!!

Great little getaway

Really great views and access to the lake and river. Feels remote, but still was close to grocery stores if feeling the urge to stay in and not go anywhere! Very nice sunsets and kayaking around the lake was a nice experience. Host is very communicative but not overly so - just right!

Relaxing atmosphere with Great Views!

We came for a short relaxing weekend and we got just that! Captain Joe was very welcoming and provided us with great recommendations on local must do’s. You can’t beat the waterfront views and the peaceful location. We will definitely will be back!

Everything was amazing we had a wonderful time! Having the covered boat slip steps away was so easy & convenient. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing off the back porch, & going out in our boat. I would highly recommend booking The Slip Away. We will definitely be back in the near future.

We absolutely loved our stay!

My wife and I stayed in this cabin for four nights for our 25th wedding anniversary. Just as the VRBO title claims, this is truly an enchanting floating cabin that you will find to be just as the photos show. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The host was very quick to respond to any communications. Thank you Captain Joe for your hospitality. My wife and I will definitely be back soon.

Perfect For Us!

This boathouse was a surprise to me, we've been to Monroe many times to visit our kids and grands, but never knew about it. I was searching VRBO and came across the boathouse and am I glad I found it!! So clean, comfortable, amazing owner who was on top of all communications, we have a tritoon, 22 ft....had no idea if this lake and boat ramp could accommodate but he assured me it could. We docked right beside the boathouse under shelter.The bed was so comfortable. It was great waking up to a fantastic view. One evening we forgot to grab supper, got back to the boathouse and he had left us spaghetti and sauce!!!!! It was perfect. No complaints at all.
