This property was in a great location. Clean and spacious rooms.I found the online check-in convenient, but also very impersonal. When they charged my credit card without authorization for parking, I called immediately. They reverse the charges, but I was not pleased with the transaction.

El Castell Motel was excellent for our whole stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful during my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The whole experience was smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated the front desk's great service. I would definitely stay at El Castell Motel again. Cool spot and all I needed was a quick place to stay price was great. What happened next was my fault but I locked my phone in the room and simultaneously forgot my door code. The phone number to call at 5pm just kept ringing and ringing. I used an online help portal to try and get them to send me the code. But all I could do was just think about the code. Never heard from anyone and just eventually tried the right code. Word to the wise keep your phone on you like it's your key. Unfortunate that I couldn't reach anyone to help. Why have a phone number if no worker is on the other side of it.

I love this little gem of a hotel - they are all very nice. I’m not crazy about the remote/ televised check in however, I was told last night via very static voice from a tv screen, that I was all set for the second night I assumed I was, but I woke up and saw no charge had come through and was told by the remote teller that I would have to check out and come back at 2?? Just what I was trying to avoid and save the hotel a room change/ clean…Sid (the manager) intervened and said he would take care of it - but alas, he couldn’t take cash. I was too confused and busy by that point I just booked another room at a different hotel- Sid and the staff that is normally there are GREAT and the property is awesome and it’s clean, safe, close to shopping and food - I will be back.. I guess Im just to old fashioned and I was told I was all set and wasn’t :(
