Sustainability & Local Impact
Caring for the land is central to how we host. Over the past five years, we’ve planted more than 600 native trees and plants on the property to support reforestation and wildlife habitat. A portion of each stay is donated to CorClima, a local organization supporting climate action and conservation in the region.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared outdoor spaces, including native gardens, fruit trees, a small coffee field, and a newly added walking path.
Tap water in Monteverde is potable, so there’s no need to purchase bottled water. We appreciate thoughtful use of water and energy as part of our eco-conscious approach.

Helpful Notes for a Comfortable Stay
• Please keep windows and doors closed when away—monkeys are clever and curious.
• Insects are a normal part of forest life. They are harmless and play an important role in the ecosystem. During the dry season, tiny mites in leaf litter (while hiking) can cause itching, so we recommend using repellent and showering after hikes.
• A house manual is provided with WiFi details, directions, and local recommendations.
