  • This wonderful rural retreat has been newly renovated to a high standard located in Old Church Stoke on the border of Wales and Shropshire. The detached property is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering idyllic walks in the nearby hills and valleys, as well as great opportunities for birdwatching. From the doorstep, you have access to the Roundton Hill Nature Reserve with bronze age fort site and provides 365 degree views from the summit. The stunning home has private grounds to explore with woodland and a brook running along the paddock edge. Nearby Montgomery (6miles) boasts a farmers' market, castle ruins, restaurants and cafes'. Enjoy a steam train ride through the Welsh countryside aboard the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (12 miles) and there are also opportunities for fishing, horse riding and cycling with National downhill mountain biking routes and trails (10miles). Two of Shropshire’s most popular destinations are easily accessible, Ludlow (22 miles) and Ironbridge (31 miles), and are well worth a visit. The Welsh coastline is just 51 miles away, ideal for a day trip enjoying North Wales's best beaches and don't miss the breath taking Lake Vyrnwy with its wonderful lake, hire bikes for the day or enjoy an ice cream whilst wandering around the lake.
