About this property

Downtown Montgomery • Explore, Dine & Unwind

  • Park once and let downtown Montgomery unfold around you. Walk to the Renaissance Convention Center, catch a show across the street, linger over dinner on Commerce Street, then slip back to your private balcony above it all. No circling for parking. No rushing across town. Just a stylish retreat waiting when the day is done — on the quieter side of the building, so the city stays outside when you want it to.

We want you to enjoy your stay! It’s likely you won’t see me during your visit, which allows you more privacy and convenience.

However, I am here anytime you need to reach out. If you need anything or have questions, just send me a message and I’ll be quick to respond.

    DOWNTOWN MONTGOMERY LOCATION

You're in the absolute center of the action. Walk across the street to the Renaissance Convention Center and MPAC (Montgomery Performing Arts Centre) for concerts, theater, and conventions. The Capitol is an easy stroll. Commerce Street, just outside your building, pulses with restaurants, bars, and galleries—lingering over dinner then slipping back to your quiet balcony is the perfect downtown rhythm. The Riverwalk and Alley district are nearby for evening exploration. Everything worth doing in Montgomery is within walking distance.

Guests have access to this entire apartment. Park temporarily and enter through the glass lobby door at the REAR of the building using the building code, then take the elevator to the second floor and use your unit code on the apartment door. Both codes are released in your digital guidebook once your rental agreement is signed, your check-in form is complete, and your balance is paid. A parking pass for the gated rear lot is on the wall just inside the apartment.

    THE APARTMENT

Welcome to the 79 Commerce Building, where modern convenience meets genuine comfort in the heart of downtown Montgomery, Alabama. This one-bedroom apartment sits on the second floor, on the quieter side of the building—far enough from the street noise to feel like a true retreat, yet close enough to walk everywhere that matters.

Your private haven sleeps up to 4 guests: a queen bed in the bedroom, plus a pullout sofa in the living room. It's designed for both solo travelers seeking urban sophistication and small families or groups exploring the city together.

    THE SPACE IN DETAIL

Step into a beautifully designed kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast preparing a full meal or just grabbing coffee before heading out, this kitchen has everything you need: a full stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and all the cooking basics—pots, pans, dishes, and silverware included. A dining table is ready for your morning coffee or evening debrief.

The spacious living room is anchored by a Roku Smart TV (bring your own streaming logins—no cable here), comfortable seating, and your private balcony with city views. Large windows flood the space with natural light, and the thoughtful layout makes it easy to move between relaxing and exploring.

The bedroom offers a queen bed with quality linens, extra pillows and blankets, and its own peaceful atmosphere adjacent to the living space. The full bathroom features a walk-in shower and all the amenities to refresh after a day of adventure.

A few things to know before you book:

    PRIMARY GUEST
The guest who books must be at least 21 years old and must stay at the apartment for the entire reservation. The primary guest is responsible for everyone in their group and any visitors.

    RENTAL AGREEMENT
Every guest is required to sign a short rental agreement after booking. This is not optional: our property insurance requires a signed agreement for each stay, and our attorneys have advised the same. It covers house rules, check-in and check-out procedures, occupancy limits, and responsibility for damage. It takes about two minutes, and there is no app to download and no account or password to create. We send it after booking along with a brief check-in form, and your access details follow once both are complete.

    THE APARTMENT
This is a private one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of the 79 Commerce building, on the quieter side past the elevator. Other guests may be staying in other apartments in the building. We have several apartments here; the style is consistent, but layouts and design vary.

    HOUSE RULES
    • Maximum 4 overnight guests
    • Quiet hours 9 pm to 8 am
    • No parties or events
    • No smoking or vaping
    • No pets (service animals are welcome)
    • No commercial photography or filming without our written approval (see below)
    • Please lock the apartment door each time you leave. It does not lock automatically

    DURING YOUR STAY
Our cleaning, maintenance, and guest-support team works hard to make your stay great. Airbnb expects guests to be considerate and respectful of hosts and everyone they meet during a stay, and we ask the same toward our team, vendors, and neighbors. Concerns are always welcome. Verbal abuse, threats, or harassment of anyone on our team will be reported to Airbnb.

Please tell us about any damage as soon as it happens so we can sort it out fairly. Please keep total people in the apartment, including daytime visitors, within the guest limit. Please leave the building cameras and the indoor noise monitor connected and uncovered.

Commercial photography or filming is only allowed with our written approval before your stay. Approval requires a commercial general liability policy of at least $1,000,000 naming Dreamline Suites as an additional insured. All house rules, guest limits, and parking rules still apply.

    GETTING IN & PARKING
Enter through the glass lobby door at the rear of the building using the building code. The front door facing Bibb Street is not coded. Take the elevator to the second floor and use your unit code on the apartment door. Both codes are in your digital guidebook. A parking pass for the free gated lot behind the building is on the wall just inside the apartment. Additional vehicles park on the street (free 4:30 pm to 8 am weekdays and all weekend) or in paid parking.

    TELEVISION
There is no cable. The Roku Smart TV is ready for your own streaming logins.

    EARLY CHECK-IN & LATE CHECKOUT
Available on request when the cleaning schedule allows. $20 per hour, one-hour minimum. Message us and we'll check with our cleaning team.

    BEFORE CHECKOUT
Before you head out, please leave used dishes in the kitchen sink or dishwasher, gather used towels in the tub, put trash in the kitchen bin, take your food and belongings, and turn off the lights and A/C. Our cleaning team handles the rest.

    LOCAL RULES
City of Montgomery Ordinance 29-2026 (short-term rentals):
    • Maximum occupancy is 2 per bedroom plus 2 (4 at this apartment)
    • Park only in designated spaces. No buses, RVs, or commercial vehicles
    • Amplified music is allowed indoors only
    • No weddings, receptions, parties, or events
The city fines the operator $250 for a first violation and $500 for each one after. If a guest's violation results in a city fine, we will request reimbursement through Airbnb's Resolution Center with the citation attached.

    SECURITY & MONITORING
For the safety and security of our guests and the building, motion-activated cameras are installed in the building's common hallway near the elevator and at exterior entrances. They are outside your apartment, are never pointed into any apartment, and record audio and video. No cameras are inside the apartment. An indoor noise-monitoring device inside the apartment measures sound levels only. It does not record audio or video.

I’ve frequently stayed at this property and every time the check in process has been smooth and the units are always clean. Great location for anything around downtown Montgomery.

Weekend in Montgomery

Was in town to visit with family. The unit was exactly as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. I would stay here again next time I am in town.

There were a few things that would have improved our stay. We chose to stay at the VRBO because we wanted to cook out meals. There was not a real coffee pot. There was only one dish towel. It would have been helpful to have a colander, a can opener and a carrot peeler. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Two night stay

Communication and customer service was not very good at all. Other people staying had the same issue while we were here. Furniture was sparse and floor was sticky.
