"What a charming, excellent hotel. It was so clean, quiet, staff was kind and continental breakfast was delish. Easy check in and check out as well. Parking was convenient and safe, right outside our room."

"Very clean and welcoming. But this place could be improved with the some updates. There were NO USB charging ports or plugs anywhere in the hotel. I travel often and always have a USB cord to charge my phone or tablet when needed. Could not do that at this hotel. Aside from being outdated, it was a pleasant stay."

"This hotel is basically brand new and has only been reopened for two months since the prior one was torn down. The hotel is beautiful now and extremely clean. It is decorated beautifully as well. The staff were quite lovely and extremely helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and was indeed a full breakfast including grits, eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, pancakes, etc. The only issue that we had was that the bed was too soft. Although it was comfortable, you could feel the other person make the slightest move. This led to each of us waking up periodically, so we experienced broken sleep. It seems that a firmer mattress is needed. All in all, it was a great experience, I just wish we had slept better."

"This was a great house that was perfect for our family of 4. Dave was extremely helpful from the time of check in until we left. The beds were extremely comfortable and we were even able to watch some of the football games on their portrait TV. The house gave mid century beach cabin vibes with its funky eclectic decor and antique pieces. We enjoyed the screened in porch at night after a long day of sightseeing and dining. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking in the Spanish Fort/Fairhope area."

"Beautifully maintained historic hotel and grounds, oozing with southern charm. Lovely, relaxing spa. Great place for multi-generational celebrations. Staff, from valet to desk to housekeeping to restaurants, were gracious, welcoming and eager to help in any way. Lovely breakfasts in Bayside Grill and truly exceptional meal and service in Southern Roots."
