We had a lovely girls weekend here! The hot tub and lake view were awesome. We are thinking of staying here again next year! Only downside is sulfur water. Bottled water was provided but showers were a little stinky.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was beautiful and the lake views were fantastic! We loved every aspect of our vacation at Skaneateles Lake!
My family and I enjoyed our week at this property--the house was clean and had everything we needed, and the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub immensely. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful, and Zach was very responsive to questions.
This place had some cool quirks, but we really enjoyed it. Weather did not help (rained 2 1/2 inches over two of our days) but the home was nice to hang out and watch a movie (good sound system). Pool is almost historic in age, which (as a pool owner) I found cool (we didn’t swim, too cold). Hot tub was well maintained and very nice. House wasn’t a great value for us as we only had four adults (we tried to find more people to join us but didn’t happen), but we brought our dogs which was great. Property itself is wonderful with great views and access to nice basic hiking. Owner was responsive and helpful. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Plenty of towels and washer/dryer if you need it. Might rent again in a fall time slot as the views would be spectacular.
We had such a wonderful experience at Zach’s place in Skaneateles! From the moment we arrived, Zach was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The property itself is absolutely stunning—secluded, peaceful, and stocked with every supply you could possibly think of. The hot tub with panoramic views, the surrounding nature, and the overall cozy atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat with all the comforts of home (and more), this is the place. Highly, highly recommend!
Very nice updated house overlooking a beautiful lake. It is very quiet and private. My cousins, sisters and I had a great visit in this relaxing environment. The hot tub overlooking the lake is a nice way to end the day after hiking in the Fillmore Glen Park. The place was clean and the living room is comfy. The kitchen is well stocked and both bathrooms had nice showers. The host Zach responded immediately when I had questions and could not have been more accommodating. Thank you for a nice getaway.
The property was a gem - more than what we expected. The house and property was clean, quiet and peaceful. We loved waking up every morning to the picture perfect view. Evenings were spent in the hot tub as the sun went down. The drive to town was under 20 minutes and our absolute favorite of all the finger lakes. Zach was one of the best hosts we have come across in years of renting - super communicative, accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. We appreciated the recommendations and bakery gift. Highly recommend!
Cannot say enough great things about our stay. Zach was an amazing host. He was very attentive when we contacted him. His hospitality was absolutely perfect. The house is better than the photos on the listing. We were blown away with the gorgeous views. The house is perfect for hosting a big family and plenty of room for fur animals. It snowed and flurries here every day of our stay which really put us all in the Christmas spirit- every window in the house looked like a snow globe. The kitchen had everything in it as you would at home. The most convenient thing was - there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, kitchen bags, paper towels, soaps..etc. Every room has its own heating unit. Happy to have a propane grill as well. Thank you Zach for everything. We will certainly be back soon!
My family and I stayed here for a week the end of July. we had the best time. The house is beautiful with a lot of room to spread out. Myself, husband, son (15), my parents and brother and sister stayed here. We loved the property so pretty and peaceful. The pool, hot tub, outside area and deck upstairs were awesome. Shared a lot of memories and made new ones, laughing, eating, drinking, watching the dogs run around. The lake view was amazing and perfect to wake up to every morning. Skaneateles is a quint little village with good restaurants. Patisserie Bakery, Skaneateles bakery, Sherwood Inn all worth a trip to visit. Dashers Corner Pub in Homer is one of my new favorites, wish it wasn’t so far from home. Excellent vacation!!
Wow! The views from the backyard and large picture windows is stunning! We stayed in mid-August 2024. The weather was mild with occasional rain rolling through, but that didn't adversely affect our trip. It's neat to be in a cloud when it's raining! The house was well-appointed and the adults and children enjoyed the games, hot tub, pool, walking the grounds, and genrally relaxing. The house is about 20 minutes from the main town and I think thats the closest grocery store too, fyi to future visitors. Our youngest asked if we could celebrate his birthday at the lake house again next summer, 😆
First informals I have to say that Zach was an amazing host. Probably the best experience I’ve ever had with communicating with someone. This is our 14th VRBO in the finger Lakes. The last one we had was a terrible experience Skaneateles Lake. Well, I was concerned so I reached out to Zach and told him what happened the last time. I brought all my concerns to him to make sure I was comfortable. He actually did a FaceTime with me to show how clean his place was how and how we had plenty of what we needed in the kitchen and throughout the house the house was spotless, the view amazing and it was a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this place if you want to visit the finger lakes.
My wife and I stayed at this property along with our two dogs looking for an escape from the city and to celebrate our anniversary, and we could not have picked a better place! The house was large with multiple bedrooms, plenty of space, and all the basic amenities you could need. It is a bit secluded which was nice not to be around neighbors for a change, but still not too far from Skaneateles (about 20 min drive) or Ithaca (45-60 min).
The backyard was well maintained and has a wonderful view of the lake, making it a perfect place for a nighttime fire, relaxing by the pool/hot tub, or just enjoying the calm sounds and views of nature.
Zach was the absolute perfect host. He checked in with us after our check in time to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did). He recommended awesome spots for dinner in Skaneateles (Gilda’s and The Elephant and the Dove) and some local hiking trails. We felt very comfortable at this property and in good hands with Zach if we needed anything. I am definitely keeping this property in mind if we ever come back to the region and would highly recommend it!
As advertised. The host Zach was very accommodating, responsive and informative. We relaxed for the first time in many months with the spectacular view and comfort of the villa.
We had a great experience! Very clean house, lots of outdoor furniture to enjoy and it has a great view! It was quiet and peaceful while we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air and the hot tub. The host was a pleasure to work with, we would definitely stay here again!
What a fantastic property! My husband and I and our two dogs stayed for a long weekend and all we can say is wow! For all the amenities and so many outdoor activities at the villa and in the surrounding areas, it was such a great time!
Had a great weekend stay! The house was perfect for all of our needs. Zach was very accommodating and quick to respond. He even left us some donuts and bread from a local bakery for our stay!! Highly recommend if you are in the Skaneateles area.
Our adult family vacationed at this place and enjoyed an awesome week. Weather favored our use of the pool every single day, and the house was equipped with everything that one would want to relax and enjoy the area. Visually the area is of postcard quality and the house and grounds afforded total privacy(I mean turn off the lights and see nothing but sky and stars privacy). Of equal if not greater note, Zach, our host who is aptly described as “premier”, helped us well before as well as during our stay, answering questions and furnishing references to nearby local shops and businesses that literally set our table during the week.
