"We checked in on Friday at 3pm for our Family Connected two night stay which, per the hotel website, are "connected with your own private corridor." We went to the rooms only to find housekeeping working on one of the rooms. She told us per her system that room was already occupied by another customer staying over from the night before. Confused, as we were holding keys that clearly had that room written on it, we retreated to the other room to try and call the front desk only to find the phone was out of order. Not wanting to leave our children or luggage unattended we then asked to use the phone in the room being cleaned. We were informed the rooms were indeed ours. The housekeeper talking to her supervisor continued to maintain that the room was already occupied in the system although there was no evidence of another guest's belongings. After much confusion, the housekeeper agreed to change over the room for a new occupant but said she would need time to do so. So, even though it was after official check-in time, we stored all our belongings in the other room and left her to do whatever needed to be done. We returned later that evening to find the room made up but a garbage bag left in our "own private corridor." It was a black bag that had been tied shut but then seemingly ripped open showing its contents -womens' clothes complete with a weather appropriate jacket and a bag full of toiletries. "The hotel is in a great location. Close to parking, steps from the subway, an easy walk to the Statue of Liberty ferry, and just minutes from the World Trade Center. The area felt very safe, even when coming back later in the evening, which made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and for New York, the price was surprisingly affordable without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city. Safe, convenient, affordable, and exceptional service."

"Stylish hotel with very good public spaces. Helpful and friendly staff. Incredibly small room without basic practicality including space for clothing and luggage. No tea/coffee in room. The 50$ amenity is just an upcharge with little benefit. I won’t stay here again. "

"they were able to resolve the issue, but when we arrived, the smoke detector was disabled and there was a very loud noise coming from the vent. we were early and told that we would be notified when the room was ready. we were not given a room till after 4pm. I was told that the room I had been booked for, had an elite member and they had a late checkout, so we would be given a different room. overall it was a very nice stay, beds were very comfortable as were the pillows, staff was very nice."
