The owner John was very personable and knowledgeable and gave advice about more travel. Feeding the alpacas and sheep was a unique experience. The sunset was beautiful and peaceful. Did not book breakfast but owner was accommodating and flexible and added it. Good continental breakfast, good choices. Liked the heated towel rung in bathroom.

John, the owner, is incredibly friendly and accommodating—he even allowed me extra time to finish work without any additional cost. The breakfast was delightful, the room spacious, and the views were simply amazing. Service was exceptional from start to finish. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here during our trip to New Zealand. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Dunedin! Thank you, John, for making our stay memorable!

Lovely place to stay. The host was very accommodating and an all round nice person. He helped us out with a room upgrade. We’d love to stay here again. Bed was comfy, spacious rooms and has everything you need.

Hunters Moon is a total delight. Owner/host John Nelson is a gem--so welcoming and flexible. Our room was lovely and comfortable, feeding sheep and alpacas was much fun. John insisted we eat our brought in meals in his bnb dining room and use his dishes, etc. Hunters Moon is a wonderful retreat outside of Dunedin.

This was a lovely, but humble farmstay property. The farmer was incredibly nice and gracious and we got to feed and pet some of the animals. Outside of Dunedin, but a peaceful getaway.
