"I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable. The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu. It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning again in the very near future."

We booked a more expensive king bed room, was told on arrival we had the best room however when we got there the room was far from an upgraded room and looked more tired than their standard room and wasn’t a king bed in it, the staff very kindly moved us to another room which was far better however it was so hot and even with the fan supplied on all night and window opened, it was uncomfortably hot. "This is a converted pub with an Indian Restaurant on the ground floor. Food very good cooked to taste, no breakfast offered/available. Rooms clean but dated. TV not tuned in, only BBC channels available. Good shower/bathroom. "

"We thought we were going to be staying in the castle but ended up in the garden room. the room was nice but had a very small uncomfortable bed. this should have been explained upon booking and we could have upgraded. The staff and breakfast was excellent!"
