"On the first night of my business trip, the room smelled musky upon entering, but since my arrival was at midnight, I just tried to sleep it off. But the sheets felt uncomfortable. During the morning, I was horrified to find my bed sheets discolored and dirty. Upon going to the toilet, the bath towels look horrible, worse than rags to be used on the floor. They were terribly norñt white, smelled funky. Finally, I smelled smoke coming from the air vent."

Absolutely first class. Housekeeping was excellent, the front desk team was welcoming and efficient, and the buffet was outstanding — especially appreciated the chef personally coming by to check on guests. That level of care says everything. We’ve stayed at several Mandarin Oriental properties around the world — they’re always excellent — but Jakarta truly went above and beyond. Professional, polished, detail-oriented, and genuinely warm. We will absolutely return and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jakarta. "
