"Corte della Maestà is the most incredible and unique place in Italy where we have stayed. Absolutely amazing gardens, stellar first class accommodations in a 1200 year old building. It’s the home of Paulo and Christiana, our gracious and generous hosts. If you have the opportunity and it’s available, you will never regret your stay with them in luxury suites!"
"Very nice little house right on the main street leading to the main attraction. Just fine for a short stay. It was very clean and the owner was helpful. Overall pleased with the property "
"This was a fantastic choice. Close to Bolsena and the lake, and such a lovely place. The staff were brilliant and super friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this place and we will be back for sure. "
"Casa Vera exceeded all of our expectations. The personal attention to detail and warmth of the owner and staff are exemplary. Do yourself a favor and book dinner at the Casa Vera Enoteca as well - absolutely incredible food and service. "
"We really loved our stay at Casale 1541! The family that runs the property is very helpful. The rooms are unique and well-equipped. The location is very close to the center of town and the lake. Really great restaurants in town too. Breakfast is also very nice."
"The location is great! The place is even better. Wonderful craftsmanship, beautiful room and overall building, extremely well maintained and clean. Very nice details."
"This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are roomy and as nicely decorated as the rest of the villa, which you are free to walk through. I would love to come back here again."
"We had a great one night stay in Orvieto. Can’t wait to return to this magical hilltop town. Dining options are endless, the people are welcoming & the duomo and underground tour are not to be missed! Ciao!"
"Beautiful place and confortable.
The check in process was definitely a disappointing experience to me and I lost 1 night since I tried to communicate in every way possible with the hotel with ZERO success. I tried the number Expedia shared, I tried the number THEY share, Whatsapp, email… I asked if I could arrive at 9-10pm since they say check in ends at 5pm, at 8pm… I had some car rental hiccups and could get earlier. No one replied. The reception is usually alone, and at check out they were...

Romantic Hideaway with Spectacular Views, Pool, and Wood-Fired Hot Tub.
10/10 Excellent
"We had an excellent two week stay in this beautiful house, which is accessed down a 1.5km track, and is located in the grounds of the main property but remains secluded. The view from the terrace overlooking the valley is fabulous to wake up to or to watch the sunset behind the hills in the evening and we regularly saw wild boars grazing in the field below in the early evening. On the other side of the property you can see the nearby village of Civitella d’Agliano, which is a 2 km walk and is well worth a visit. The property has been converted to a high standard, is well equipped and very comfortable. The pool area was also excellent and well maintained. We felt entirely at home during our stay and Manuella and Martin could not have been more helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit whilst not at all intruding. The area itself lies on the beautiful border of Lazio and Umbria with lots of hilltop towns and other places to visit. Orvieto is a 30 minute drive and we also had days out in Perugia and Spoletto as well as trips to closer locations like Lake Bolsena and the UNESCO listed Civita di Bagnoregio. The area itself is very rural and lacks the crowds we have encountered when staying further north into Umbria or Tuscany but a car is essential. We would thoroughly recommend La Casa Pastore at Carpinetta for those wanting a quiet escape. "We stayed for a week at this fabulous property in June/July 2025. The booking process was easy and communication thereafter was excellent. The house is in a very rural setting just outside Celleno. Celleno offers a couple of small supermarkets/grocers, two or 3 bars, a fantastic butchers and two or three restaurants/pizzerias. One of these is only open over weekends. You would need to drive into Celleno. There are more restaurants slightly further afield and Viterbo is no more than a 20 minute drive. The house and location are both beautiful and the location is very peaceful. There was good internet and good air conditioning in both bedrooms. The pool is lovely and very well maintained. Somebody pops in every other day early to clean the pool - you are otherwise left in peace. The house is like a family home and I have seldom stayed somewhere so well equipped. There were lots of staples in the kitchen cupboards which you replenish as used. The house is south facing but there is always some spot where you can get some dappled shade outdoors including under the vine covered pergola on the terrace. We had a fantastic stay and I would definitely consider returning to this lovely property. "
"This is an INCREDIBLE property! Beautiful landscaping, 10 min. drive from Bagno Regio. The breakfast they served was over the top delicious with home made treats, fresh ricotta cheese, and a wide variety of choices. They make a caffe/espresso for you. Couldn't recommend this place any higher, extraordinary property and service!"
Villa with pool in civita di bagnoregio OFFER FIRST 10 DAYS MONTH OF AUGUST
10/10 Excellent
"We had a glorious week here with our 3 teenage children. The villa is very comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Fabrizio was very helpful whenever we needed anything. It is close to the lake and the pool is lovely, so you can find lots to do or just relax at the villa. The only things I would highlight are that the WiFi is quite unstable and not great (but this didn’t bother us at all) and the downstairs bedroom (master bedroom) does not have air con. It has a fan and this was fine for us but could have been less comfortable had we arrived a week earlier when it was 38 degrees! But overall I would high recommend this lovely vial and we would definitely come back!"
