Stayed here for my daughter's 16th birthday. Our suite was spacious and clean. All of the staff were very professional and willing to assist with our requests. We are planning to come here for our next family vacation! Unfortunately due to weather, the outside pool was closed the first day. The girls were still able to swim indoors. They have a wonderful shuttle that takes you to the beach area that is set aside for Grande Dune guests. Additionally, they offer valet parking. Just a great place to stay for vacation!

We stayed 4 nights for a softball tournament. It was perfect for what we needed, plenty of space and a good sized kitchen to prepare stuff for our game days, with the convenience of shuttle to beach, Starbucks etc in the building, daily room cleaning/towels. We would definitely return, especially if we have another Myrtle beach tournament

We loved the location and the property was very clean. The shower door was missing the magnetic piece to keep the door closed during our showers. The furniture could be updated or reupholstered. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I like this location as I’ve stayed here before. Bathrooms were pretty nasty with trash and hair everywhere. Not sure they mopped or cleaned the toilets before we checked in. There was also hair in the fridge? No dish soap or paper towels which was a little disappointing considering it has a full kitchen with dishwasher. Rooms could definitely use some new carpet as they were gross with stains everywhere. Living room chair was cut with big hole. Beds were fairly comfortable. Nice view of waterway and golf course.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows: The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap. The iron had the pointed end broken completely off. The TV cabinet doors were hanging by only one hinge so it could not be closed. We stayed in the room and made the best of it. I did however speak with the front desk and she was very attentive to my concerns. She shared with me that starting this August they will be going through a major renovation for the entire place.

Our second time staying here. Great quiet location. The staff was friendly and helpful. They quickly worked through a room assignment issue at check-in when I pressed to find a quick solution. Shuttle to the beach is super quick and easy to use without any wait times. The rooms themselves are starting to show their age. Could benefit from a refresh in furniture (some stains and clearly well used) and scent (quite musty) to help justify the price of the suite. Overall 7.5/10

The junior king suite was a usual room but the kitchen had some cabinets. The balcony hosted an abundance of spiders and webs. The personal hot tub was a 20 year old Jacuzzi. Decor was also dated. There are no laundry facilities on premises so we went to the airport with swim wear in a plastic bag. The entire staff was extremely pleasant.

Nice place but the room I stayed in needed some maintenance in the bathroom. Shower flooding the floor and wallpaper peeling. Paint around door knobs peeling, stains in the carpet, cobwebs on the balcony. Barely any water pressure in the shower. This was not a 4 star room Our breakfast server was unfriendly and foreign. Not sure if that’s the way they communicate in Jamaica or he just hates his job. Did not feel comfortable the 2x I had breakfast with my daughter. Servers are supposed to smile and be pleasant. Food was delicious

Room was respectably clean and size was great, furnishings dated and tired (couch not comfortable and needed a deep clean). Private beach amenities were not what I expected- no lifeguard, bathrooms were porta-potties, and snack shack didn’t open until people started calling about it. Location was great for getting out and about, but there is no self parking area at the private beach- you HAVE to take the shuttle. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but if you want beach access, stay at a resort ON the beach.
