The guest people don’t let us sleep because they make a lot of noise is around 12:am in the pool.
Very dirty.. staff wasnt very helpful. The room they put us in had no toilet paper. No towels or wash clothes and dirty linen was all over the floor. It looked very rundown.. we told the front desk and they did move is to another room that at least had clean linen.. but room service never came with fresh towels the next day not asked about cleaning.. just very unprofessional.
There was roaches an bed bugs I have about 10 over
The only good was very close to the beach on n.ocean blvd ...the bad this place is infested with roaches didn't see any the first night because I came in an went straight to sleep but woke up with bed bug bites ...roaches roaches everywhere
We found roaches. Towels were stiff and abrasive. Tub constantly leaked. Couldn't use balcony, water dripped constantly splashing you. Balcony had algae growing. The pool fronted the entire hotel, so noise was constant. The $20 deposit wasn't recorded at check-in, so I didn't get that back. Woman at check-out desk was rude, lacked people skills. I didn't expect much, but I got less than that. Won't be staying there again.
Pictures were misleading it was old and run down. Bathroom door would not shut, towel rack broke off the wall. You could walk across the street to the beach was the only good thing.
Cons: There was a lot of noise from the road traffic (trucks and tons of mopeds). There was cigarette burns in the comforter in a non-smoking room....hmmm. No breakfast in the morning. Room didn't appear to have been vacuumed recently. The bathroom shower had someone else's hair still in it when we checked in. No bathroom outlets. Poor lighting. A little scary to walk around at night. No chainlock. No curtain on bathroom window, only blinds. Dirty bathroom floors (unmopped and sandy) and unclean door frames (dirty fingerprints), etc. I am really okay with it being somewhat outdated but it was truly unclean in a lot of ways.
Pros: Great air conditioner. Small frig and microwave in the room. Wifi and free parking. Close to the boardwalk.
The location was wonderful. The night clerk was very nice, funny and helpful. The property, on the other hand, was in an awful state. The room was very dirty and in disrepair. There were roaches in the bedroom and in the bathroom.
If you choose to stay here, bring lysol and an extra set of junk sheets you don't mind pitching and plastic bags to put your belongings in to protect them from the bugs and dirt.
There was security on the property, which made me feel safer.
We actually didn't stay at the Wayfarer Motel. We got there and realized that it was not the type of place one would take their family. It is located in a less than desirable area of Myrtle Beach, is in poor condition, smokey, moldy tiles, rusty bathtub etc. We took one look at it and said, "No, thanks!" Unfortunately, I had pre-paid and am still trying to get my money back. We found a cleaner, more suitable place down the street. Never having been to Myrtle Beach before, I had no idea that there were places like this. At the time of booking it was rated as a 2.5 and we needed at cheap & cheerful place to stay near the airport for our last night. Totally disappointed.
They didn't even have a room for me when I arrived. It would have been nice if Expedia had told me that by booking same day the hotel wouldn't even get my reservation in time. I had to go to a different hotel last minute. This hotel was in a sketchy area anyway.
$90 a night was extremely overpay I would rated at a $40-$45 hotel wasn't the cleanest. There were armed guards in the evenings outside patrolling The hotel it made me very easy about my safety and security.
Walked in the first thing you see is rust and dents on the frige..., burn holes in the carpet, the beds were made but looked like someone had slept on them. Worst stay at a Hotel I have ever experienced! Would not have stayed if we could have found another place...
One of the worst motels I've ever been in. Was not on the ocean like it said it was in the email. Bathroom door did not work, towel rack in the bathroom was broke, toilet paper holder was broke. There was some kind of crud all over the bottom of the bathtub and the worst part was when we seen roaches crawling across the table beside the beds. I would never recommend anyone staying at this motel!!

Affordable, simple place to stay
Clean standard rooms needed for stay, kitchenette was nice for the low price
Where do I begin? When we arrived we were expecting a hotel on the beach, this hotel ended up being across the street from the beach even though the hotel discription and picture gave the impression that it was on the beach. The manager/owner seen how upset we were and told us they could book us in their sister hotel across the street on the beach and then retracted that statement 10 minutes later saying because we paid online we could not switch over due to billing issues online. We spoke to the owner of this "sister hotel" and she told us they had lied and they were not the sister hotel of the wayfarer. In addition to all of this there were cockroaches which the owner tried to tell us were just "palmetto bugs" which we looked up and found out that a palmetto bug is just another name for an american cockroach and the owner told us that there was "nothing they could do about them, all of the hotels have them along the beach". The only thing good about this room is that it was so bad that it kept us out doing anything we could to keep from going back. We did have fun in Mertle Beach but dreaded going back to our room.
Run down, broken bathroom fixtures,no utensils but had a stove and microwave. ...go figure, phone with no cord, no TV guide, had to go ask for towels every day.
First of all I felt victim of theft from the housekeeping services. when I inform The woman at the front desk (light skin, Spanish speaker pierce on her chest) promise me she was going to report it to her boss and I guess she never did since no-one from management ever bother to approach me to settle the situation but I guess that's what I get for settling for a hotel with such low rates.the room was dirty the furniture was old rusty with parts missing and it didn't feel safe I will not recommend this hotel to anybody and I'm not coming back to this place I will really appreciate if my review is posted. Since I don't think is fear for future guess not to know what they are exposing themselves to when they make reservations on this hotel
