"Our stay was an absolute nightmare. Upon check-in we were sent to a dirty room (unmade bed & trash bags everywhere). It took the desk attendant 3 rooms to find us a clean one. Mind you, this was around 1:30 am as our flight arrived late. When we finally got a room, the window in the bathroom was cracked, window locks were broken, air conditioner was hanging off the wall, & the door frame/lock were severely damaged, all of which we didn’t realize until the morning. After 3 more nights of being told they would “try” to move us, we finally had to book a different hotel and check out. Getting a refund for the nights not stayed was a hassle, though we finally did get one. The bathroom never got hot water so showers were cold. There was no water at all one afternoon for reasons that were never explained. As a 5’8” female, I could not close the door while using the toilet because I was too tall & my knees blocked the door from closing. I also got stuck in the elevator. Would never book here again. That said, I felt terrible for the staff. They were WONDERFUL and really did try to help, but they can only do so much. If you want a cheap, questionable room in a great location, this is the place for you. If you want safety, hot water, & cleanliness, go elsewhere. "

"Great little hotel in a fantastic location. A super quick walk to plenty of restaurants & museums. Both the restaurant & bakery in the hotel were good-we ate there multiple times because my kids liked it so much. Pool was clean & not super busy. Staff was extremely helpful & pleasant. "

"Room was outdated and in desperate need of updating. But the wall AC unit, appliances, and shower worked perfectly. "

"The bathroom was dirty. Tray on the counter hadn’t been wiped down in forever it looked like. There was a gross toilet brush in there. Floor in shower looked dirty. Flours in general were not clean. Parking was very inconvenient. Couldn’t get an extra pillow because they said they were full and had no extras. No blanket, just a very thin little cover. Staff was nice but that was about it. Will not stay again"

"We had a wonderful time at the Moxy! It’s in walking distance to many great restaurants, the room was very clean, and we loved being in the heart of downtown St. Pete! We will be coming back! "
