403 - Nags Head Rental Home - Deeded Beach Access and Spacious Decks

403, Fish Hawk, is a Nags Head rental home located in the heart of the island, close to shopping, golf (including putt-putt), restaurants, grocery stores, and so much more. This home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with deeded access to the Hawks Nest beach access, located within steps to the rental home.

This Outer Banks Rental Home features a covered front deck, spacious back deck, grill access, high-speed WiFi, washer/dryer access, and a variety of bedding to accommodate many family sizes.

After coming back from a VERY short walk from the beach, enjoy sitting on the large covered deck, relaxing in the ocean breeze, while taking advantage of the outdoor grill for an evening meal.

And if you're the more adventurous type, this home is located very close to the sound, which is shallower water allowing for kite-boarding, wind-surfing, jet skiis, and so much more!

** To keep rental costs down, this OBX home does not provide linens. However, a linen package can be provided for an extra fee. Please contact Cove Realty of Nags Head for more information on this home's linen rental package. Also, Cove Realty is a Green company that limits excessive waste.  As such, linens, toiletry items, cleaning supplies, and so forth, are not supplied at the rental home, so please be mindful to bring these with you or be ready to purchase upon arrival to the Outer Banks.

Family Vacation

House and property mangers were great. The private beach access is a pretty steep climb over the sand dune especially for older people and getting beach gear too the beach.

Great house in an amazing location

The property was clean and just as described. We had a wonderful week and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The beach was a short walk and fairly easy to access. There were great shops and restaurants near by. One of our family's favorite vacation spots.

Great location!

House was clean and just as pictured. Beach access was awesome, just a little steep. Was in a perfect location for shops and different restaurants. Was our first time in the Outer Banks and can't wait for our next trip!

The house was in a great location for the beach and things to do. The house had all our needs and i loved the covered front deck for shade and the open back deck for some sun.

Good for a small family

Good basic beach house. We had 8 people in the house, it was a little cramped. Bedrooms were sufficient, room with twin beds has no tv . Front deck was nice, covered for shade in the afternoon. Kitchen is not suited for a large group, hard to have people at the table and cook at the same time. Good location, beach access is just across the street. Had issue with a/c on 2nd night, repair man had to come out three times, Cove Realty was rather rude on the phone. I won't deal with them again.

Perfect Home away from home

The photos online were exactly as we walked into. Everything was clean and ready to go. Fully stocked and perfect! We brought food and that’s all that was needed besides sheets because we decided not to purchase the linen package. Very short walk to the beach and so worth it!

Lovely home, but not very clean

The home had a very musty smell. There was a portable dehumidifier that we had to empty 1-2 times a day. And it was very noisy. Mold or mildew on floor vents, bathtubs not cleaned, throw carpet in bathroom stuck to floor. Tub mat covered in black mold. Trash was still in trash cans in bedrooms, even dirty diapers. We were not looking for perfection, but due to Covid and the emails that said there would be heavier cleaning measures, we are really skeptical that anything was really cleaned well.

Great location and beach Access property could have been cleaner.

Really enjoyed the location and Beach access. Home is conveniently located and didn't have to go far to find anything we needed or wanted. Beach access was very nice and a public beach access 1 block down the road was nice for my elderly mother. Let me say the Rental company did give me a call to ask if I was happy with the property my reply was yes!! My wife cleans Rental property as a side job. She notices things that I myself do not. There were crumbs on the stove top and counter. Trash can lid was filthy dead bugs in the window seals of the kitchen. (Blinds raised when we arrived) 1 pan was covered in grease ( previous Tennant not washing well) Overall our stay was great i would stay here again, but would like to see it a little cleaner. Rental company was easy to work with and no contact check in was nice. Would have been 5 star from me other than a few cleanliness issues overall Happy Customer!!

Not Very Clean

The house was filthy when we checked in. There was sticky dirt on the top of the trash can, dirt on the floors, the living room furniture had a disgusting odor to it and there were ants in the kitchen and living room. When we reviewed the check-in instructions it said we needed to call about any cleanliness issues within an hour of check-in. Unfortunately, it was well past an hour. Just prior to checkout I spoke to a representative from the realty company and they said the actual policy is 24 hours. We have had great experiences with this property manager in the past so we consider this an anomaly but this particular stay was disappointing.

Great beach cottage

This house was great for our visit. Short walk across the street from the beach and close to the grocery store and shopping. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds were comfortable. My family would stay there again!

Nice house, great location

The house was mostly clean when we arrived—underneath the kitchen table had not been swept. We cleaned the touchpoints as recommended by the real estate company. Grill was different than pictured, but we adjusted! There is a Keurig—there were different coffeemakers in the different pics...that was a plus. The rooms to the left of the kitchen smelled musty...could not get rid of that smell all week. Decks were so nice! Spent a lot of time there...but the front deck shakes and you can feel it in the rest of the house. It was a bit unnerving. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the location of the house.

A nice place to get away.

Our overall stay was a good one. The closeness to the beach was a big plus. The house was nice enough, but could definitely use updating with couches and bedding. It could also be more family friendly with games, etc. The realty company was helpful at first by getting us in early, but then was radio silent when we called about issues. We had the incorrect linens which were replaced, but the realty company did not call us back like we asked. There were some minor issues with the property plumbing, etc. we reported these and were not called back. This was very disappointing. I also noted the overall cleanliness to be average. I offered to deal with this, but in times like these I probably should not have done that.

Overall great rental in Nags Head!

House could have been a little cleaner when we checked in - floors were not well vacuumed and there was hair everywhere. It would’ve also been nice to have some more family friendly amenities like a high chair, games, etc. We loved the location and the house was exactly what we needed as a small family.

Great week!

Loved the house, the location, the agency and everything. Only complaint was the front door lock was just jammed stuck. The whole week we had to use the back door to enter/leave as that was the only one we could lock. We called Cove on Saturday after arrival, but not sure anyone ever showed up; if they did we didn't notice as the door never really worked. Other than that, it was a clean house, had everything we needed, and we loved our stay!

Beautiful escape

Well stocked home with everything you need for the week. The realtor is located less than 1/2 mile away and a phone call away if u have issues. I can’t wait to return.

Nice house. Very well stocked kitchen. We cook a lot and it was great that they had everything. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Great after WE Cleaned

When we arrived there were crumbs and oatmeal on counters, empty Doritos bags and several empty 2-liter and Gatorade bottles in bedrooms. We called the office and the friendly cleaning crew came a second time to reclean toilets and counters. They informed us they aren’t responsible to clean beds, protectors or pillows and also they take all paper towels, toilet paper, anything that’s not unopened or individually wrapped. The mattress protectors were disgusting with dried food stuck on them and we even found a pill left on one. There was Dried blood or something on a pillow. Toothpaste, hair bands, and the scissors were in the furniture cushions. After several hours washing everything and recleaning, we did enjoy our stay. Beds were comfortable and the home is nice. One small recommendation would be to add a wooden kitchen chair. There are 7 wooden chairs for the table when the house holds 8 people, but it wasn’t a big issue since the table holds 6 comfortably and some of us ate outside at the picnic table. The hammock under the house was a family favorite. It’s a friendly community. We would consider coming back if we could go through the owners, but not likely through current company. 4pm check-in is too late to arrive to that kind of mess.

Nice Home close to the beach.

Nice home on a cul-de-sac beach close. Great tv's, cable, internet. 2 bath, 4 bedrooms, nice decks. The beach in Nags head is nice and ready for a boogie board.

Great Family Vacation

Comparing the pictures to the Reviews, I was hesitant when booking this house for our vacation; however, I did with fingers crossed. My suggestion for anyone looking for a house in Nags Head is ... RENT THIS HOUSE. The pictures do not do it justice. The living room, dining room and kitchen were bright and airy with enough room for the kids to play without being in the way. The bedrooms are all a good size with decently comfortable beds and are situated with 2 on each side of the house allowing for everyone to have some personal space. There is also a bathroom on each side of the house and they were CLEAN!! The whole house was very clean. The sand wheelbarrow, chairs, boogie boards and sand toys were an awesome bonus under the main house. The walk to the beach is just minutes. As a family of 5 we had more than enough space (did not even use one of the bedrooms) and this house really helped make our vacation comfortable. Thank you so much for sharing your home!!
