Nags Head pros and cons
Communication with the owner company was easy via email and texting. The house is well constructed. The decks felt sturdy and safe and the pool is nice. There are a lot of stairs! All the appliances worked great and the kitchen was well stocked with a variety of dishes, pots, pans and utensils. We set the air conditioning to a comfortable level for us and there were multiple ceiling fans throughout the home. The kids enjoyed the pool table and ping pong, along with the outdoor play space. We brought our own badminton set and a volleyball. The pool was enjoyable which we used every day. The property backs up to very busy and noisy hwy 158. The walk to the beach was easy for most of us but there is parking close by the beach for those unable to walk distances. We expected to have access to the property at 6 pm but were pleasantly surprised to get a text that it was ready for us at 5. I wish the cleaners had used that hour to clean the floors and ceilings, however. Occasional cobwebs, very dirty fan blades and floors needed attention. If that is corrected- this can be a great house- except for the noise outside! It does settle down some at night. Being a few blocks off the beach was beneficial on a day when it rained so much that the roads closest to the beach were flooded. Something to consider when choosing this property.
