This is not a 5 stars hotel but it is clean, located centrally, with friendly staff. Good ratio quality/price.
This is my third stay at the Embassy hotel
After the safari I showered and rested until my late night flight. Room is not nice shape but ok because it is old building but it was clean, has comfortable bed and clean sheets. Location is very good and not dangerous. I could walking around alone without any worries. As a budget hotel I am very satisfied with Hotel Embassy. Especially the staffs were the most kind and friendly people I’ve ever met in Africa.
Front desk staff was very polite and helpful,i arrived late at night by forgetting my charging cable,he provided that and also water for me,thanks a lot to him. However hotel is really outdated with poor condition, rooms are not like shown in the pictures at all,no hot water, not very clean bathroom,so much noise all night that it was impossible to sleep.and consdering all these,it's very overpriced.i wouldn't reccomend this place.
It is in a very good location and the price in very affordable. The hotel had missed our reservation so the rooms were not ready when we arrived. We had to wait 20 min 4 a clock in the morning. They have breakfast for compensation but we were to tired to be able to use it.
If you have a room facing the market it will get noice about 4-5 in the morning.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Hotel OK, dangerous shower
The hotel is basic. The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, including the mattress and bedsheets. However, the overall impression was marred by stains on the walls and bed base, pipes and cables exposed. Only one towel was provided, and there was no soap in the room. The noise from the street and the corridor was loud. Like other reviewers, during my shower I encountered a concerning issue – the water heater in the shower head started sparking very brightly. I know little about electricity, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's life-threatening. I only stayed for 3 hours to wash and rest before the flight, so it served its purpose. We survived the shower.
I had a very terrible experience at this hotel, the staffing here is terrible. Nothing was explained to me, the staff was very rude and unkind to me. Highly won’t recommend.
Positives: It was a good location in the city center. There was a guard and friendly workers at the front desk. Bed was nice. The price was cheap.
Negatives: The hotel room was small and not in great condition. The room barely fit more than a bed. They had loud construction at the hotel going on during the day so you couldn't sleep until evening.

Central clean functional room but poor WiFi
Cheap but clean functional room in the heart of cbd with a comfortable bed and hot water. Friendly staff. Downsides were WiFi being very inconsistent kept disconnecting and a huge mosque located around the corner. Prepare to be woken up at 4am every night. Not impressed with the breakfast/on site canteen.
Let’s just say the pictures online are the opposite of what it actually is. The area is dingy as in homeless people sleeping outside the front door. You are better off sleeping at a truck stop. We paid for 2 nights! We arrived at midnight and by day break we were out of there!!!! DONT DO IT

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I only ended up staying one night because there were no fans in the room and so the window had to stay open for air circulation and it was incredibly loud all night. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the amenities were pretty bare bones and the lack of fan and the noise made it pretty difficult to sleep.

Liked: Amenities
Nice people, but I had to ask for anything including what I thought would be basic. There was no toilet paper, soap. I thought housekeeping would do their job when I place the ‘make my room’ placard at the door. They did not until I called front desk who told me I need to leave the key at the desk as an indication I needed housekeeping. When they finally made my room on day 2 of stay, they did not leave toilet paper behind until I asked. TV remote was not working. I called front desk at 9am , nobody showed up. I called again at 3pm and nobody showed up. I walked downstairs asking for manager- only then did someone respond. Here, you need to ask and ask, don’t assume.
Otherwise you get what you pay for and being in the city center where rooms can go up to $2000 a night, a 24$ room is a miracle. Close to everything
