"In fairness before I booked i knew it was 23 miles away from the center but didnt think it was that far...because of the winding roads ir takes about 30 to 35 mins each way to the center of town and the hotel doesnt have a shuttle service. Taxi driver from the airport became my driver the entire time there so it worked out! Staff was super friendly and the restaurant ( Bajo Banana) had some amazing sunsets and good food. "The staff is super nice but the hotel was disappointing: we cannot hang by the pool, the bathroom was not clean with water everywhere, there was no space to put our things and there was a very disturbing chemical sent sprayed automatically all day and night long. Finally, it was very noisy: we could hear a party, the family living next door and the nearby mosque. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this hotel."

"This listing on Expedia is deceptive. The property is not at the location on the map, and no one in the town had ever heard of it. I tried to contact the property at least 10 times in the weeks leading up to my reservation via phone, Expedia messages, and WhatsApp in both English and the local language and never received one reply. In the end, I had to just pay for additional lodging somewhere else. I hope I can get a refund, but no luck so far."

"Clean central location. Spacious family room. Nice bath and bathroom. Seaview was minimal despite getting room with seaview. No soundproofing so extremely noisy. Unfortunately all 3 nights midweek had a concert playing so loudly in the stadium opposite that the furniture shook with vibration late into the night."

"The place was really small, I didn't mind it but just know it's basically the bed and a small desk area. The fragrance in the towels and bed sheets made me sick, really strong but then again I don't use scented laundry detergents at home. The free drink was horrible, really sugary wish I could have substituted it went to waste. I like that the bed was comfortable which is important to me when I'm traveling. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I chose a room with a window it would have been really claustrophobic feeling if I didn't."

"The hotel was very nice and modern, with excellent facilities and easy access to the ocean. Everywhere you looked there was a beautiful view. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide array of choices from different cuisines, so there was something for everyone. The reason for the 4 stars is mainly due to the check-in process and the behaviour of some other guests around the pool. Our check-in took a very long time, with little communication about whether our room was ready. We had to wait around an hour after the stated check-in time before being given our room, and I had to ask multiple times for an update before eventually being told it was ready. As the hotel is quite a distance from the main town, there wasn’t a great deal to do while waiting, so better communication would have made the experience much less frustrating. My only other criticism was the pool area. As this is a 5-star resort, I would expect it to be somewhere guests can relax. Some children were repeatedly jumping into the pool and causing a lot of splashing, resulting in guests and their belongings on the surrounding sunbeds getting wet. I completely understand children having fun, but a little consideration for other guests would have been appreciated. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, the views are amazing, the facilities are excellent and the breakfast was a highlight. With a smoother check-in and more consideration around the pool, it would have been a 5-star experience."
