Very courteous and informative staff. Very clean room. Good sized parking lot. Very nice back patio on each groundfloor unit. The motel is a bit worn and we had to rehang the blackout curtains. Nice location with a long walking trail in the lagoon across the street and the ocean only 2 blocks away. We would stay there again.

Good, Dependable Motel near Airport

Less than 5 minutes drive from Napier Airport, the Albatross Motel is also a close drive to central Napier, restaurants near Ahuriri, and the Esk Valley wine region as well as being across the road from the Ahuriri Lagoon and its walks. Great to stay here again and would be happy to stay again!

Staff very helpful. Website did not make it clear that our studio unit kitchenette did not have a cooking hob; it had only a microwave. The managers had electric frypans available and this met our need. Bathroom floor very slippery and no handrail in shower. Antislip mat provided on request. Great location near the estuary and beach and a short drive to CBD.
