Awesome boutique hotel in the heart of Florence. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The hotel was beautifully maintained and the 24 hour coffee/water bar on the 5th floor was indispensable over our 3 night/4 day stay. We will stay here again during on our next visit for sure.

We stayed at Hotel Matilde for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is lovely, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were consistently courteous, welcoming, and helpful. The central location is ideal for exploring Naples. The only minor inconvenience is that the hotel is on the second floor of a building shared with offices, and the entrance—located on the side of the building—can be difficult to find initially. Otherwise, we had no issues and would happily recommend this hidden gem.

The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great location. The entrance is very discreet, a simple door in the side alley, however the hotel is a pleasant surprise once you’re inside. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Clean room and AC worked well. Hotel in a sketchy looking alley, but was able to find. Hotel elevator to get up the hotel is tiny and requires coin to take luggage up during weekdays, but free on weekends. You can ask the hotel for a coin to use if needed. This hotel is central around stores, taxi and restaurants, which is good. Breakfast was simple, nothing special. Overall decent place to stay overnight on arrival from the Naples airport.

As others may have mentioned, it certainly is harder to find the first time but so worth the adventure. What you find once you get to the hotel, the location and the wonderful staff, breakfast, help and rooms are amazing. So beautiful and clean. Rooms were exceptional. Truly night and day from where you enter street level to the hotel itself. Highly recommend staying here. The staff were incredibly helpful with cabs and breakfast for when we had early excursions. Most day trip pickup points were just a few minutes away. Bars, shopping, restaurants right outside.
