"This hotel is very outdated time for some upgrades"

"The room and customer service were not in line with what I paid to stay there. The front desk staff at check-in was not particularly welcoming despite my efforts to engage them and be friendly. They got the job done, and accommodated my request for a 1 hour late check-out, but they could just as easily have been working at a Motel 6 for all the customer service skills they exhibited. The room was very clean and nicely sized. It was on a corner with beautiful views and high ceilings. However, one of the curtains had a large tear as did the carpet. More importantly, the A/C had not been turned on and it was incredibly hot. Despite turning it on and turning down the temperature, it never really got to a comfortable sleeping temperature. The mattress was both hard and deformed (classic indentations on each side with a hump in the middle). The pillows, although abundant, were mismatched and lumpy. Starting around 7am, I began to hear periodic, loud banging noises. I never could determine where they were coming from, but it didn't appear to be from any room nearby. The room was on the top floor, yet the sounds seemed to be coming from above. Very odd. The staff at check-out was friendly and possessed of great customer service skills, and noted our issues once we explained them. Overall, I would say I was very disappointed. I have stayed at the Boulderado before, and that experience was very different and much better. I would advise staying elsewhere, unfortunately."
