Perfect for short or long stay

Very large house, wonderful verandahs and an excellent room with its separate study alcove with a window. The staff were extremely helpful and the location is a mere 15 mins from the airport. Tuk-tuk rides into Negombo town were 10 mins and yet the location of the house is an end-of-an-alley hideaway with lots of trees and vegetation.

Great spot to stay!

The room is spotless, spacious bathroom with everything you might need, big common area and nice garden. We enjoyed everything here. Great host who will assist you with everything! If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the airport, look no further. And you can walk to a railway station where you can have a scenery journey to Colombo. Highly recommended!

Perfect place for a short stay, when you are arriving or leaving Sri Lanka! Clean and very comfortable room with everything you need in a peaceful neighborhood and with extremely helpful and lovely hosts. Can highly recommend!

I could not have had a better experience. I was picked up at airport at 2am as was promised with family member waiting for me when I arrived at their home. Entire family was very welcoming, warm, friendly, helpful. The bedroom was very comfortable with adjoining reading room. Excellent breakfast with tea or coffee & local restaurants within walking distance. I would strongly recommend without any hesitation West Dene to anyone whether they be staying for one day or for afew days.

Hotel was clean and air conditioning worked well. WiFi was ok. Lots of noise from outside and surrounding areas. NOTE... they advertise van shuttle for $10USD and then demanded $15 after booking the property. Have screenshots of everything. Would have chosen another property since there are many similar ones in same price point

Feeling of home

If you love a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet near enough to go by 'tuk tuk, you will definitely love this place. The building is set against beautiful lush greenery. The garden is well maintained and is surrounded by big matured trees. Evangeline and her husband Stanley are such good and jovial host. Each email to Evangeline is replied very promptly and clear. The moment I met Evangeline and see the smile radiating her face I knew I have chosen the right place to stay. Waking up and having a table laid out with fruits and yummy dishes set on the balcony overlooking the garden it sure feels like home. We had a triple room and its very spacious and the air con and wifi is good. The Colombo airport is just a mere 20 mins drive.

Absolut Perfect Stay

Absolut Perfekte Unterkunft für den Transfer aber auch längere Aufenthalte in Colombo und Umgebung. Es handelt sich um eine sehr luxuriöse, perfekt saubere Unterkunft mit riesigen, top ausgestatteten Zimmern in einer tollen Villa die von einem tropischen Garten umgeben ist. Sie befindet sich in einer ruhigen etwas besseren Wohngegend etwas versteckt und man ist zu Fuss in ca 10-15 Minuten am Strand bzw. in dem Bereich in dem alle Restaurants etc. sind. Der Hausherr ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Mensch. Dies war die Unterkunft in Sri Lanka mit dem absolut besten Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Schade dass wir sie nur für eine Nacht vor dem Abflug genutzt haben.

Guesthouse très bien tenue et service efficace

Nous sommes arrivés en train, station Kurana à 400 m. Les propriétaires nous attendaient, ils sont prévenants et sympathiques. La prestation est très au-delà de nos autres expériences sri-lankaises en matière d'hébergement. Quartier résidentiel, calme, à 7 km de l'aéroport donc parfait pour un transit, déplacement facturé 1000 LKR et possible à toute heure. Resto à 700 m.
