Thank you for our wonderful stay! The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. It stayed cool inside despite extreme temperatures outside and we all slept very well. Wildlife all around, beautiful to watch the wallabies cross the garden. And the beach, which we had mostly for ourselves, is just stunning! We will definitely be back. Thank you!
Clearwater Haven was an ideal choice for us for our family vacation on Kangaroo Island! It was in a perfect quiet location short walk from the beach. All amenities were provided to make our stay more pleasant. Small extras- towel racks in all rooms, super plush beach towels and large BBQ were really nice!
What a gem of a property! Great location being adjacent to the bay and with no one else in sight! Perfect base to explore that end of the island.Clean and tidy with a comfy bed and hot showers. Kitchen and house has everything we needed to make our stay perfect.
Great house in a bush setting. We enjoyed being a short drive away from Kingscote but still feeling like we were immersed in nature.
Quick stroll from a beautiful beach. House was well set up to cook meals and relax in after exploring the island. Thanks for a great stay Ori!
If you like wildlife away from the maddening crowd about 40 minutes from Penneshaw, this is the place.A few minutes walk to Nepean Bay and you have the place all to yourself. The host was impeccable. Yes, all the main attractions are a must see but don’t forget Cape Borda Lighthouse. Well worth a look, particularly it’s history.
Our family had an amazing stay at Clearwater Haven.
The property was clean and well equipped, and the location is spectacular! Just a short walk to a beautiful clear beach perfect for kids. The short nature walk within the property was also very enjoyable.
Communication with Ori was great, and her tips for things to do was very helpful and informative.
Enjoyed our second stay at this house, nice and secluded but also a good position to see the sights on the island. Having the toilet, bath/shower, and sink separate makes it easy to share the one restroom between four adults. We saw kangaroos, turkeys, a wallaby, and a monitor lizard from the front porch.

Paradise
Property was lovely, well equipped with all that one requires, beach on doorstep. It was very peaceful, no traffic noise and so forth. Beach pristine. Travelling to see other places on the island we found (being in a sedan car) was tiring (on the gravel roads to and from the property). Yes one is in the centre so to speak and could visit one day to the left and next to right.KI has amazing places to see. All in all we had a great time. Thank you.
We had the most blissful, fuel recharging stay at Clearwater Haven! Travelling with two young cherubs (aged 2 and 4), we found the house perfectly set up for families — clean, spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. From kid friendly kitchen / dining & bathroom supplies through to the bedroom (our girls adored the sweet touch of the soft toys left on their beds for them to borrow & cuddle each night). All the house amenities and rooms were exactly as listed and described online. LOVED the very short walk to what felt like a private beach and the abundance of wildlife right on our doorstep. We honestly didn’t switch on the TV once during our 3-day stay as "nature & star" TV was just too good!!Ori was a wonderful host and provided some of the clearest and most helpful information and manuals we’ve seen. The location felt peaceful and remote without being inconvenient — just 20 minutes to Kingscote and around 30 minutes to Penneshaw, which was so manageable with young kids.Seriously didn’t want to leave and would happily stay again. Highly recommend!!
Thank you Ori for letting us spend 5 nights at your beautiful part of the world. The house had everything we needed. It was comfy & homely. We spent hours on the balcony enjoying the peace & quiet and watching the superb wrens and numerous other species of birds including black cockatoo, also the kangaroos, turkeys and even an echidna. There were countless varieties of native shrubs & trees many in flower. Where else in the world these days can you have a beautiful deserted sandy beach at your doorstep and no traffic noise!! A great base to explore the island. We will be telling our friends. Kind regards, Jan, Trevor, Keith & Julie.
Our stay was magical! The house is beautiful and well appointed. Kitchen was well equipped, there weee a ton of board games and a good collection of DVD’s to watch. It was easy to find, even in the dark. Ori was very quick to respond to our only issue-a swarm of bees was trying to find a new home on the front deck. He called a local bee keeper who was out the same day to rehome them. We saw kangaroos in the back yard on the first morning, a koala and enchilada on our first walk. The birds were beautiful and everywhere. We stayed up to watch the stars every night. If we are every fortunate enough to come back to KI, we will stay here.
Enjoyed our stay at Clearwater Haven cottage. Very clean and tidy. Good location. First time off grid using solar power. All good. Has gas for cooking and water heating. Lovely walks along beach. Weather cooler than Mainland - car always said 18 degrees (November) but we had jackets etc. No rain. Stayed 4 days and saw most of Kangaroo Island - rented a car on the island. No public transport. Loved the low key vibe, fields of wheat, Raptor Domain, Flinders Chase Park, Penneshaw Sculpture Walk, American River, Stoke Beach (for a swim) Kingscote Museum etc. Saw seals, sea lions, penguins, koalas , kangaroos, wallabies goanna’s in the wild. Met some lovely KI locals.
Secluded and peaceful. Ori our host was very resourceful and offered lots of great recommendations for our time on the island. The place was quiet, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay.

Lovely property, clean and it had everything we needed
Joy is having the beach at the end of your driveway and local oysters a short drive away!
Our family had a wonderful time here, not just enjoying the island but all Clearwater had to offer, a beach you can walk to, a deck for star gazing & bushy surrounds you can explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay- we hope to be back again some day :)
If you want peace & serenity this is the place with a short walk to the secluded beach. Home well equipped for our stay. Kangaroos & wallabies visited of an evening and lots of finches & wrens.
The property was amazing. We had days of unprecedented rain and gale force winds and we were warm, comfortable and dry. We ventured out when we could but loved returning to such a beautiful property. We had visits from beautiful blue wrens potoroos, tamar wallabies, kangaroos and birdlife galore.
