"Beautiful property on the Golden Circle route. We chose it b/c we were coming from Silfra/Thingvellier & next day needing to get to Selfoss area early. Loved that there were 2 mineral hot tubs per building of 8-10 rooms. Most of the staff were Eastern European, efficient, but cold. We decided to eat in the hotel, tho there were good options a 10 min drive away. Worst meal & terrible service. We weren't famished so ordered modestly. We felt that b/c we didn't jack the bill with liquor & courses, we were ignored. Good mattresses & comfortable large rooms. The only room in 3 weeks that had a mini fridge!! Big plus! Breakfast was the most abundant & variety in 3 weeks, tho only had one machine to get coffee & the property serves a huge amount of guests. Food was fresh & well stocked. Still hated that signs forbade from taking an apple or banana if you didn't eat it. In a country so conscious about the environment, using multiple plates & throwing out food seemed Ludacris. We were told it's cuz Icelands 24% VAT tax is geared toward tourists & if we aren't buying more food & drink, less $ for their 2 1/2 years of unemployment benefits that's paid to Icelanders. A nice place, but expect to pay dearly."

"Great location near the Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River and Reykjaböð Hot Springs. Close to the freeway yet quiet. Very helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast, cafe, shop, and food hall conveniently located downstairs."

"Very large place, with full refrigerator, stove and microwave - even has a washer and dryer. Heating is in the floor, so slow to adjust to the temperature you want, but calling the property management was helpful in trouble-shooting what we should do to get the place cooler (in September!). Walkable to the new old town section and right across the street from a Netto. Very handy location."

"The location is good. " Bonus" supermarket is near by. Friendly suggestions: 1/ When we get into the apartment, a bad smell coming out from the bathroom drain. We have to pour some water in the floor drain to get the smell out. 2/ Please have the coffee, tea bags and paper towel ready on the counter top. Not everyone is tall enough to reach at the upper cupboard where they are placed."
