Man...

"We were visiting from the U.S. to see places our daughter had lived years ago, and the Planitz area of Zwickau was right on target. We wanted the full cozy and authentic small German neighborhood experience, and this place delivered. We had laundry to do from our trip thus far, so one little glitch occurred when the clothes dryer was not in service. But the hosts quickly provided us with a drying rack and we were able to take care of refreshing our travel clothing. We had no difficulties in...

Top Neumark Hotel Reviews

Best Western Hotel Am Strassberger Tor

8/10 Good

"Very German. No complaints about the room. Breakfast also good"

Promenaden Hotel

8/10 Good

"This is a beautiful old hotel property. It has great bones and the rooms have been updated and modernized nicely. That said, there are some very quirky aspects to the property. Firstly, there is no reception - just an automated machine that provides a key card. This means that there is no one to ask about parking, amenities etc. The second thing is that no one speaks English at all. The cleaning staff was very sweet but could not speak a word. We had to use Google Translate for all interactions including ordering breakfast, asking for towels, etc. Finally, the public spaces are very austere. This seems out of place with the historic hotel. For example, there are just IKEA tables and chairs in the eating area but then there is a large open foyer on the second floor with a grand piano. But there are no chairs or couches in that room. It seems with a bit of TLC this could be a great boutique hotel and cool place to hang out. This is especially true when you consider the location right across the street from the historical theatre where we attended the International Ballet Festival."

Hotel Meerane

10/10 Excellent

"The room was very clean and in great condition. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were nice and plush. The closet was a huge walk in style so I was able to unpack and not have to feel like living out of a luggage bag. I loved the in room refrigerator. The shower was powerful and luxurious. Internet connected easy and was a good speed for working. Being an American speaking English only all staff was kind and spoke English for me. I felt right at home."
