Literally just a place to lay your head. No bells or whistles. The bed was comfortable. Rooms were decent size for the price. Bathroom severely lacking. No washcloths upon arrival and had to ask for them. Towels and washcloth should be replaced. Parking is very tight if you arrive late. Breakfast was a joke and messy with no consistent cleanup. Would only stay again of my number one option isn’t available, which is the Avid in Dyker Heights.

I liked the large TV with like to lots of channels, internet and the ability to cast your own device to it. The continental breakfast was good with alot of choices and NY style bagels plus juices that were’nt too watered down like Hampton Inn. The front desk was very helpful. The single elevator was a little small and slow but it served its purpose. The hotel loading zone was very helpful.

The Best Wetern Gregory Hotel is the only lodging option in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and it serves well for those who need to be in the area. It is safe, clean and comfortable, at reasonable prices, and the included breakfast includes many choices. If one needs to get to downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan, the R subway line is just two blocks away. On the downside, the place is somewhat spartan and they are in the midst of renovation.

If you're visiting friends or family in the Bay Ridge area (or are marooned by a commuter railroad strike as I was) this is a fine place to stay. It is reasonably clean and the free breakfast provided, though basic, is pretty good. My room was comfortable. I considered it cozy, others might consider it small. Ice machine in the hallway didn't work; there were a few small things like that which could use some updating. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops - and a subway- just a few blocks away. Safe and quiet.
