From the moment I pulled up, there was no place to unload our bags unless doing valet. There are valet workers outside, but for this hotel to claim to be high-end, no greeters or doormen? Just security staring at you from all angles. That’s not a welcoming experience. It seems more like a jail visit, than a hotel.
In the room, the toilet was loudly gurgling and running through the night. And when flushed, the handle had to be held up until the tank filled back up with water. So I had to stand there holding a handle for at least a minute wry time I used the bathroom. That’s ridiculous.
The air conditioner was also loud. So between that and the toilet, my sleep was constantly disrupted and not peaceful. Then for the hotel to claim that the suite has a balcony, but it was nothing but a 1-foot wide cement path with a wall blocking the views from the window, and the door was locked with a key! So no one was allowed to go on this “balcony.” It was literally just an eyesore blocking our view of the city.
The check-in was the longest I’d ever waited at a hotel. Only two staffers at the desk on a Friday night in the busiest city in the country is absurd.
Then, after checking out, to be charged to have my bags stored is the most ridiculous thing. I have never heard of a hotel doing that. Especially one that claims to be luxurious. I have stayed at 2-star hotels and they don’t charge to hold bags. You charge outrageous prices for rooms, and the only luxe thing about this hotel is
