On the third floor of a hundred years old brownstone, la Maison des Sirenes is perfect for anybody appreciating style and comfort. Affordable but not 'cheap', La Maison des Sirenes is well dressed!!! The apartment was decorated with taste and I meticulously picked every single of furnitures myself. This is the first apartment I ever rented as a vacation rental(August 2007).

It is located on one of the most coveted block of Bedstuy(tree lined). It features a master bedroom,an antique clawfoot bathroom, fully equipped Tuscan style kitchen,dining room,living room and an amazing bamboo lined deck with table,umbrella and seats .Perfect for barbecue in summer,sun bathing brunches on weekends or simply relaxing.
Most importantly the apartment is a few stations away from Manhattan. Keep in mind this is not a newly renovated apartment. It is very cosy and shows signs of age. It is a home and people Love it!
NYC OCCUPANCY TAXES ARE NOT INCLUDED AND ARE DUE UPON ARRIVAL IN CASH. Required by the city on less than 180 days rentals,they are 5.875% +$2/night. As of 03/01/2015 the state of NY requires lodging establishments to charge the state and sales tax. It represents 8.875%

Bedstuy used to be known for its motto 'do or die' . Not anymore!!!! Now it is best known for its incredibly beautiful Brownstone. It was fearures recently in the Time Out magazine as ' one of the best ' of NYC. The strong community and abundant beautiful brownstone townhouses contribute to its growth and charm. New cafes,restaurants,bakeries ,boutique ,galleries nd wine bars are sprouting everywhere receiving much attention by Zagat, time out,NY magazines and blogs. A diverse mix of students,hipsters,artists,crative professionals,architects and attorneys continue to move to the neighbourhood.
The area is serviced well by the A and C train with commute times 15 mn to lower manhattan and 30 mn to midtown.(times square).

Bedstuy was home to famous artists such as Notorious BIG,Lil Kim,Mos Def,Chris rock,,poet June Jordan and activist Hattie Carthan. Bedstuy streets are often represented in media : Spike lee movies, MIA music video.....
There is a strong sense of pride being part of Bedstuy and being its pioneers.

Just loved the old brownstone vibe. Many parts of our apt. were original. The decor made it very homey and even a bit European. An old claw foot tub. Out the back window was a small view of the backyard garden that was very picturesque. It was writhing walking distance to small markets, deli’s, subways and bars (even on that had live music every night). My granddaughter and I both loved it.

Far more spacious than the listed photos make it look! Definitely will stay here again. Very clean and cozy. The decor and historical vibe of the building and apartment added to the charm of this rental. The deck is absolutely a great addition to this apartment. Parking was a tad tricky especially in the late afternoon. There is a parking garage a few blocks away. Lots of grocery options in walking distance, healthy take out/delivery in the area. We felt very safe here. I recommend LYFT for transportation if you don't want to drive. Great host communication in a very timely manner.

Vom Check-in bis Check-out ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt, sehr schöne Wohnung mit allem was man braucht, ruhig gelegen in einer schönen Gegend. U-Bahn in der Nähe, der nächste Lebnsmittelladen 10 Minuten. Sehr nette hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Merci à Nathalie, très réactive avec qui j'ai pu échanger avant et pendant le séjour. Même s'il faut faire un peu de métro pour se rendre dans Manhattan, je recommande ce lieu calme après les grosses journées de marche et de bruit. The apartment is located on the second floor, and it was decorated true to the bohemian style. It was a perfect place for a girls trip with my friend and our daughters. Host is very helpful and responsive, the area is nice with corner stores and restaurants close by. It wasn’t too bad to find parking, but know you have to change sides of the street for street cleaning. We took advantage of the kitchen and everything worked well. Beautiful large windows with tons of natural light.

Extraordinary Brooklyn home. As a NYer who currently lives in another state, this apartment was exactly what I needed to feel like I was back at home. Nathalie was always responsive & clear about expectations. My partner and I had a lot of privacy & independence. 10/10 absolutely would stay again!

Beautiful cozy apartment in a great neighborhood.

Nathalie's apartment is a gem! It is a charming, light-filled place in a beautiful old brownstone, complete with a well equipped kitchen and a private back patio. It had plenty of room for our family of four. It is well maintained, and on a quiet street in a lovely neighbourhood, with good restaurants and shops easily accessible. The subway is a quick 8-minute walk away, and gets you to lower Manhattan in 20 minutes. We are already talking about coming back to stay here again. Thanks Nathalie!

Feel at home

L'appartement est très bien situé, à quelques minutes d'une station de métro. Très calme, une terrasse agréable, une cuisine fonctionnelle avec des condiments, thés, cafés pour commencer le séjour. A great holiday

We stayed in the apartment for 10 days and it was a great holiday. The instructions for self-check-in were perfect and Nathalie reacted immidiately whenever we had a question. She also arranged our transport back to the airport, thanks a lot for this. The location is excellent, it is less than 10 minutes walk to the subway station of the C-line which takes you to Manhattan in about 20 mins. The neighborhood is great and we always felt safe, even when returning to the apartment late night. There are also some nice bars and restaurants in the area, we liked the "Cocktail Bedstuy Bar" just around the corner very much. Our visits to Manhattan were wonderful, lots to see and to do, especially the walk across Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan.

Schöne Wohnung ca. 10min zu Fuß von der U-Bahn Richtung Manhattan entfernt. Die Wohnung war sauber und die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt. Die Gegend empfanden wir als sehr sicher. Für längere Aufenthalte gut geeignet.
