8/10
This property was close to subway #1 which made it easy to transfer from our hotel in the Times Square area. It was close to the Wall Street Hotel where we attended a family event. The 9/11 museum was a 6 minute walk away so we were able to squeeze in a visit.
This Marriott’s elevators are confusing because half of the floors are served by one side elevators and the other half by the other side. They charge a $30 fee for no good reason because other than a gym they don’t seem to have any amenities. Instead they say you can have a $15 credit in the restaurant and $15 credit in the “store.” I kept looking for a store because I needed to buy stockings. There is no actual store. By “store” they were referring to some junk food snacks and sodas to the left of the lobby counter. Nothing useful or healthy that I would ordinarily buy. GRADE F for merchandising. It’s not like when you go to Japan and the hotels near the rail stations offer you all kinds of toiletries and cleaning supplies to make your stay better.
Like all Marriotts the beds were comfy and shower heads were excellent.
