"We had a great stay at the Brinckerhoff Inn. The property is beautiful and it was obvious how much work went into the restoration. The decor was very "Presidential" and definitely felt like you were back in the 18th Century. My husband and I had a lovely stay. "Really deserves 2.5 stars. Staff was pleasant and professional. Outside and room are a bit run down; but mostly clean. Room had a fridge and microwave but spotty internet and hot water with poor water pressure. Only 1 cup and 1 bar of soap for amenities. Not sure if there were other guests as it seemed most everyone there lived in the rooms, including the strong smell of pot in the morning. Place seemed safe enough though. I’d give it 2 stars but staff brought it up a bit. Ok for the night; but a bit overpriced and better places and values closer to Highland Falls. I would not stay again."

"I may as well have slept in my car. Every 20 minutes or so there was a loud pop sound like someone stepped on a water bottle. I got zero sleep at this place. Lucky to get 2 hrs. The room had a horrible smell as well."

"This is a really lovely place! Some historic hotels/B&Bs are just historic and have seen better days. Not this place! We were only there for one night while on a road trip, but we would have enjoyed staying a few days longer. The manager greeted us warmly and made sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house and grounds are beautiful. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotless, plus the bed was super comfy. After a long travel day we were happy to grab a pizza from a local restaurant and just sit in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn - while enjoying a glass of wine and the sunset. The made-to-order breakfast was excellent as well and we could enjoy it on the outdoor patio. We’d definitely stay here again."

"What a beautiful home and property, paired with truly fantastic and communicative hosts! We stayed here for two nights during our high school alumni weekend and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The home was exceptionally clean, thoughtfully furnished, and stocked with so many unexpected extras — snacks, eggs in the refrigerator, chocolates, and more — which made us feel immediately welcome.The outdoor space was absolutely stunning and became the perfect place to relax in the evenings. We spent hours enjoying good conversation, perhaps a little too much scotch, and watching deer wander through the yard — and yes, the deer were very real!This property made our reunion weekend even more memorable, and we will absolutely be back for the next one."

"The house was wonderful and has so much charm. It's both modern enough to be comfortable, yet showcases many rustic details of the original build that really gives the forest cabin feeling. Cornwall is a quaint town with lots of local businesses and a eclectic vibe.The house was well stocked on amenities with attention to detail to made the stay seamless. The house was clean and everything worked. The hot tub and fireplace were both standout perks for a winter stay.Leah was responsive and attentive to check in to make sure we didn't need anything. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone!"

"The property was perfect for the five of us! We enjoyed the TV and the cleanliness of the home. We also had quick and great communication. There is several dining options as well as a grocery store that is about a 3 minute walk fro the home. We would definitely stay there again."
