The bed was not comfortable, would sink in the middle, no firmness. No aircon so extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep especially on the top floor during the heatwave. Staff were very helpful and provided a fan. Seagulls would sit on your window, knock and make a racket waking me up every morning between 4-5, noticed the people underneath feeding them.. doesn’t help! Location was good if you were happy to walk 40mins to town. Rooms were clean. Couldn’t adjust the temp of the shower, would’ve been nice to have a cold one when hot. Food was not to bad apart from asking for steak medium rare (given it really well done) asked for jkt potato got chips and poached eggs were extremely snotty.. needed cooking longer. Only a 5min walk from the beach and view points.
Was not a good hotel really. Thought we’d stop
Off rather than drive home. Was dated yes staff friendly on the desk. Went up to room looked like someone left drop turd on floor at end of the bed. I walked straight back out and handed keys back. I’d rather do
The 150 miles than stay in that room. Some people say it’s nice, that’s ok if you drink. We don’t drink really fair enough on the piss it’s doable. If ya sober I’d say it’s not so great. The turd mark on the floor put me off fully I took the drive option. Make sure you get insurance staying here, just in case you want a refund. 👍
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room slightly tired, however would still recommend

Room was well presented but the rest of the hotel was run down and breakfast was definitely not worth the additional £11 per person. Very poor. Undercooked egg and sausage with excuse only one chef. It took ages to be served and the hotel had two coach loads of OAP’s.

Staff were lovely. Room had some fresh paint , was clean but shower head not attached properly. The bar area smelt fousty, food wasn't great. Generally building was tired looking. Spa facilities weren't available and not notified until asked to use them.

The room itself had been recently decorated in a modern decor, unfortunately our bathroom had clearly been smoked in recently, not the hotels fault given all the signs, but the smell was very overpowering and unpleasant. Despite going in winter, we couldn't get the room cool enough -we opened the window and turned off the radiator but couldn't sleep as it was too hot. In addition, there was a party downstairs we were not warned about, the music carried on very late which prevented us sleeping - we were two floors up so hardly next door to the party!
Very tired hotel, very poor value for money.
Being told that I had to pay £10 per night to park the car in the empty hotel car park was disgraceful especially when the receptionist informed me that if I had booked direct instead of hotels.com I wouldn’t have had to pay. I mean if it wasn’t for hotels.com I wouldn’t have booked, so suck up their commission charge like every other hotel does and don’t blame the guest!
Thermostat completely broken on the radiator in room, so it was 1000 degrees, meant we had to sleep with the window open, which then meant we were woken up throughout the night by cars, and then upon finally getting to sleep, by the driver of a coach outside at 630am revving the transport of the blue rinse tour (which coincidentally didn’t leave until 930) so there was absolutely no need)
Everything in the room was the cheapest of the cheap including the nasty toilet paper and hand soap.
The bathroom was probably the biggest joke, I had to sit on the toilet at 90 degrees which was very interesting as it was literally 15cm from the wall one way, and they had installed a sink/vainity unit 20cm at the front of the toilet!
If I had paid £80-90 instead of all in £150 during our 1 night I may have thought about this rating differently, but the £10 parking fee at the start really put a bad taste in my mouth, and I suggest during the quieter months they revise this policy!

Fabulous staff. Looked after very well especially reception
Did not realise that Blue Badge parking for a disabled person was car park chargeable and at £20 was very expensive and the receptionist was very abrupt and abrasive the room was not disabled friendly and was along a long hallway the room was tired and outdated with wallpaper coming off the wall and glossware paint all chipped. It was a noisy room overlooking the busy car parking with smokers and early risers being noisy. The carpet felt dirty and the bathroom flooring poorly vinyl laid. Overall we were disappointed
The room was clean and cozy but a bit hot. A fan would have been useful even with the windows open. It is an older building so sound travels through the walls and floorboards.

Little Four Day Break.
The bedrooms are clean, but a bit tired needs renovation.
We had a power cut during the recent storm & had to move rooms but the staff were great.
The parking is good but expensive at £10 a day.
Overall staff are excellent & very attentive.
Bar Sixty the food is very good with generous portions.
The postion of the hotel is also excellent with lots of rooms having sea views.
Hotel is old and need a good refurb. The reception, bar and restaurants are fine but once you go to the rooms its really dated and could do with a good update. Wallpaper painted over badly. The first room I was in was had stained walls and broken furniture. The power went in the night and had change roos. I think the electrics were faulty because of again lack of maintenance. I had to m ove rooms because it was dark and dangerous. At 2:30 am i moved. It only affected my room and the stairs so it has to be very poor maintenance. The rooms need a good update in the whole hotel though.
