The Artist's Cabin at Powder Ridge Overlooking Sunday River SKI PARKING PASS

Only a 5 minute drive to Sunday River Resort's South Ridge Lodge, this new log sided 'cabin' is located in the very upscale neighborhood of Powder Ridge in Newry, Maine. NEW for 2023-2024 ski season, the cabin will come with a PARKING PASS for the lot next to the Whitecap Lodge. The entire front of the house is glass and displays three levels of spectacular views of all eight peaks of Sunday River Resort. Completed mid-December 2013, it boasts over 1500 square feet of living space spread out over three floors. This vacation rental enjoys a mix of modern facilities combined with antiques and rustic high-end decor. There are two bedrooms and two full baths as well as a loft with a bed and futon and a bunk bed in the lower level. The comforts of home include all brand new amenities such as: WI-FI, two flat screen Smart TV's, YouTube TV, DVD player with movies, stereo system with in-ceiling speakers, pillowtop mattresses, two sitting areas facing the mountains (one with a woodstove), a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, KEURIG Brewing System and two new charming full bathrooms decorated in Rustic Moose and Bear style. It even has a washer and dryer for use by guests. This is an all year round property to be enjoyed fully in each season. You will find downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating and tubing in the winter, all within 2 miles of the property. Golfing at the prestigious Sunday River Golf Club is only 5 miles down the road while the Bethel Inn & Country Club course can be found in downtown Bethel, 7 miles in the other direction. Hiking in this area of Western Maine is a real treat with many trailheads located at spots like Grafton and Evans Notch State Parks. If you are coming to the area for one of the many unique WEDDINGS held every year, why not make it a family vacation and explore all there is to see and do. Go swimming at the 'S' or Frenchman's, both on the very rural end of Sunday Road, take a chair lift ride to see the unbelievable fall colors, try your hand at The Tough Mountain Challenge or The National Wife Carrying Championship. Or just sit back by the WOODSTOVE in the lower level family room, kick off your shoes, have a glass of wine, pet your dog and watch the stars and the weekly FIREWORKS display. There truly is something to be enjoyed by everyone!

Delightful stay in the Maine mountains

The owners have obviously put a lot of effort to make their log home in the Maine woods as inviting as possible. This was the favorite part of a trip which included a great time in Boston as well. We look forward to returning!

2025 Family Ski Trip

Overall property was exactly how stated in the pictures. Convienent to the mountain. Excellent communication with the host Kimberly and Tom. If you forgot something there is a grocery store, Walgreens within 3 miles of this wonderfully located property. Highly recommend.

Tuff for summer rental

The property was unbelievably beautiful with charm and craftsmanship. No one could have predicted a heat wave during our stay, but 3 fans and a couple of ceiling fans didn’t help much. It’s all geared up for winter season, and must be a site to see. To bad trees grow as I can only imagine in a few years the Mountain View will be gone in the summer time. We are in our 60’s celebrating our 30 year anniversary, we are not winter people. This is a place you want to be in the winter time for sure.

Amazing view and stay!

Our family traveled from Massachusetts for our annual family foliage vacation and decided to stay here this year. It was absolutely stunning and everything was more than we expected! A little bit of Paradise

What a beautiful place. Sparkling clean. Spectacular view of the mountain. No expense spared in the furnishings and decor without being pretentious. Still cozy and homey. Well equipped. We would highly recommend.

Perfect location to Ski Sunday River in a wonderfully cozy house.

We were three moms and our five young adult children and there was plenty of space for us all to cook dinner together and play board games and watch a movie and sleep soundly! The cabin is clean, well outfitted, comfortably furnished and close to the slopes. We would come again!

The Artist's Cabin

This is a cute little cabin on a hillside with great view. It was clean and had tons of light, and fans. :) Two well cared for bathrooms were appreciated as well. We felt well taken care of.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Immaculate, well appointed, cozy home with outstanding views of Sunday River. The fireplace was easy to get started and we had everything we needed. We arrived and were greeted to smells Of cinnamon and a freshly baked breakfast cake. The owners really make you feel welcome and think of everything to ensure you have a relaxing rime. Thank you!!

Consistent Pleasure

We've stayed at this property multiple times over the past several years. Its always a delight. Puts us at ease the minute we pull into the driveway. There's space to spread out but not too much so its easy to get a game of Phase 10 or Bananagrams started. Kitchen is well supplied, plenty of towels in the clean bathrooms, nicely decorated, great communication with the owners, neighborhood has wide, paved road for non-skiers to take a walk. Our youngest's favorite part of the stay is waking up in the loft to the smell of dad's coffee and the view of the slopes. Wish we had more weekends!
