We enjoyed a family reunion which was for only three nights and the rain fell incessantly. However, it didn't matter one jot! From the warm welcome extended by Janice (including a delightful cream tea!) to the wonderfully well equipped, spacious accommodation which catered for all our needs, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and look forward to a return visit. The Elizabethan Arms nearby was an added bonus, being in walking distance and providing excellent food in a friendly environment.

Our stay at Scrumpy Barn was wonderful.
Our stay at Scrumpy Barn was wonderful. Nice little touches like plastic children's plates and picnic boxes. Owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners made us feel extremely welcome, the cottage was spotless and spacious.
The owners made us feel extremely welcome, the cottage was spotless and spacious. The highlight for us was the tour of the dairy farm including getting the cows in, seeing the milking, the calves and pigs and giving us a greater understanding of how our milk arrives in our tea and the dedication of the farmers to their livestock.
The cottage is a perfect location for exploring several points of interest and there is a good pub a five minute walk away and free range eggs next door. A fantastic holiday and we will certainly return.

We had a lovely week in this new modern apartment.
We had a lovely week in this new modern apartment. It has an amazing galleried en-suite to the master bedroom and the bathroom has the best shower we've come across in a long time. The location is quite rural (think single lanes with passing places) but there is an excellent pub only 200 yards away. The owner very kindly left us a Devon cream tea which kept us going for at least 2 days. You won't be disappointed if you visit.
