Craigmount has got to be the best b&b i have stayed in. Spotlessly clean , great breakfast , wonderful views from bedroom. Nicole & Malcolm are very friendly & welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay.

Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week. Nicole offers a simple evening meal option of a choice of a few home cooked meals, to eat in the dining room. We had her delicious chicken curry one night. BYO drinks. Both Nicole and Malcolm were great sources of local information, and really helpful. Excellent place to stay.

Very nice B&B in a beautiful area. The host Nicole was very nice and helpful. The view out our window was stunning. Clean and comfortable. Town and restaurants a short drive away. Didn’t do the breakfast but it looked and smelled awesome. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing find

It was amazing, hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We felt so relaxed and at ease. The food was superb and Nicole was able to meet all my dietary needs and even gave us a little goodie bag when we left.

Worth a return stay.

Very interesting because the rooms are book themed in a book crazy town. Clean and comfortable with very friendly hosts. If you book the evening meal you will be treated to home cooked food of the highest standard.

Liked the vegetarian breakfast, as it was all bought especially for those not wanting/eating meat. The owners were very friendly and gave us some brownies as we left for the journey. We are looking forward to trying them later. Would recommend as handy for Wigtown and all the lovely bookshops. A very friendly and inviting place, and would go back when out that way again.
