"The location of the Beacon is its best feature. The room we stayed in was clean, but run-down. The hotel is currently upgrading, so that should help. The staff was very nice."

"When I visit NY this is my first choice to stay at! The rooms are great! Free coffee in the morning is always a plus!"

"Helpful and kind staff, room was very clean and tidy, it was very easy to travel to and from. Will definitely recommend to family and friends"

"All very excellent"

"We stayed for 4 nights and had a great experience. Great front desk staff and housekeeping. Lucien was a stand out front desk employee who was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He is an asset to your business. Rooms were clean and spacious. Housekeepers were efficient. Great location close to the subway and Central Park top end. We will be back."

"The location is wonderful. So walkable. Great neighborhood. The hotel is a bit old. Bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was very small and had a tub shower rather than a nice shower stall. Bar area was cramped and in need of an upgrade. Rug in living room was worn and dirty around the edges. Room was ok just not as up to date as we prefer."
