"Had a pleasant stay"

"Breakfast not offered in hotel but in restaurant 2 floors below the Lobby. Quality of food on offer 3 stars or below. We paid over $330 per night for a small room, old furniture, old carpets and mattresses on beds almost as hard as lying on bricks. This hotel in NO WAY deserves a 9.4 rating. We were very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. The only exceptional feature of this hotel was the staff. My advice is AVOID this hotel. "

"The Hollywood triple room was smaller than we expected for three people, our 3 big luggages barely fit & opening them made it even tighter. I’ve stayed here before in a bigger room, which I definitely preferred, but it wasn’t available this time. That said, the location is excellent, close to everything & the underground passages are super convenient once you get used to them. I also love that it’s connected to a mall, so there’s always something to do nearby. The bathtub & mist shower feature are great. Just remember to ask for bath salts at the 6th floor lobby during check in if you want to fully enjoy the tub, great after a long day of walking & exploring!"

"We had a great stay at Nishitetsu Grand Hotel. The superior triple room was very spacious, perfect for three of us with about seven luggages. The double beds were big enough that we didn’t even need the third (foldable futon sofa bed), so we folded it up & used it as a sofa, which made the room feel even bigger. Definitely one of the more spacious rooms I’ve stayed in Japan. The hotel itself is a bit older, but very clean & well kept. The elevators are fast but close quickly, so you have to move fast with your luggage or risk getting cut off. One downside was the AC, it’s centrally controlled & it got pretty warm. You can call staff to adjust it, which helps, but afterward you can’t really fine-tune the temperature."

"This hotel is not only old and outdated, but also extremely dirty. The air itself smelled of dust, making the entire stay uncomfortable. The walls were visibly dirty, and the carpet appeared as though it had not been cleaned in years. The photos shown online do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. They are clearly retouched and misleading, as the actual state of the hotel is far older and significantly dirtier than presented. The bathroom was very small and had mold throughout, which was unacceptable. The so-called “free breakfast” is not worth considering as a benefit and does not make up for the overall experience. I am genuinely surprised that this place is still operating given the condition of the furniture, sheets, and towels, all of which were in a very poor state."

"Every aspect of my 1 week stay was perfect. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food and service was outstanding. Wonderful location, hotel, staff, and service. Highly recommend. "

"Our stay was very nice and pleasant. The best breakfast buffet we ever experienced. There were many varieties of food to choose from. The staff, they were all courteous and polite. The room was small, but it was quiet and clean. Onsen was never crowded. We enjoyed it with perfect temperature. Highly recommend this hotel, but especially for breakfast buffet!"

"Incredibly thankful for staff allowing us to store our luggage for a few days prior to checking in! This made traveling between cities and islands way more enjoyable. We only stayed one evening at Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin however can say it is very convenient. Easy access to many amenities and shopping nearby, train station also within walking distance. Also enjoyed our breakfast buffet options and the welcome treat/time of happy hour in the lounge! The only feedback was the initial smell walking into the room, despite the hotel being a strict no smoking hotel. There was an odd smell but after opening window for a few hours, went away. Otherwise, excellent use of floor plan for those with lots of luggage. "
