"This was our first time in North Carolina and it won’t be our last. The house, the view was amazing. Gorgeous sunrises and distance to the beach was perfect. Hot tub was my favorite. Can’t wait to come back. Looking forward to our next adventure at the beach. PS…..we could not believe we were only Few houses from the Inn at Rodanthe, we thought we were movie stars. "

"This property was ideal for our family beach vacation. There were four adult couples and a teenager and the house allowed everyone to be comfortable and have privacy when wanted or join the family when desired. The layout of the common space worked very well for us. We cooked for all of our meals except a catered dinner, and the kitchen lent itself well to everything we prepared. We did bring some cooking utensils because we knew they were not available in the home, but the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies.Having the ocean right at our back doorstep was heaven, and the deck was wonderful for enjoying the view.Our host was very quick to respond to any questions or issues during the week. I can't say enough about how attentive he was, both during our stay and before it, when we bombarded him with questions. Thanks for a glorious week!"

"The house was very clean when we arrived! Although there isn’t central air, there are window units in every room making it very comfortable! We had a wonderful time! For those reading reviews for environment - BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES! Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes are prolific right now due to the rain and standing water this time of year. They will bite through your clothes."

"Great house! Our group of 8 had plenty of room, with space for group activities and privacy when needed. Access to the Sound was beneficial for putting in kayaks and the beach was an easy 8 minute walk through the community. The swim/spa was a welcomed alternative. A well appointed kitchen and deluxe bedrooms made for a relaxing family vacation."

"We thoroughly enjoyed spending the week with 4 generations of our family! Everyone had a wonderful time, and each commented, at the end, that this was the best vacation they ever had. "Our stay was great. The house is very rustic like you step back in time to the days of the Pirates. Short walk to the beach. The house is in need of some TLC such as the decks , outdoor shower, grill. These were all in need of replacement. Other than that the house was huge inside with multiple floors and an old Observatory at the very top. You can see for days up there. The outside area could use some cleaning up and a warning to the visitors that they will be driving thru some loose sand to get to the house. I had to use 4 wheel drive to get to the house but had a friend show up in a front wheel drive car and made it just fine. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't that great 5/9-5/16 the high for the week was 70. You will enjoy this place. Watch the movie Nights in Rodanthe and you will lots of things in the house that are in the movie such as the old organ. The movie is there and a dvd player. If someone asked me if I would go again that's a Yes for sure answer. The cool part of the trip was we had high winds several days and you feel the house sway a bit. Not 100% sure but I think the house was haunted. Some weird things too place. You have to experience on your own to understand."
