Top North Shore Trailhead Hotel Reviews
Whistling Swan Motel
8/10 Good
"Our room was clean with comfortable beds. I appreciated windows that opened so we could feel the cool air outside! Mark is also a great host at the General Store with advice and insights on the surrounding area. The Whistling Swan is no frills, but it is well equipped with a refrigerator with a small freezer section, a coffee pot with coffee and a very nice, updated bathroom (that was my highlight!). While I would have really appreciated a hair dryer, which I have come to expect to be ubiquitous for motels and hotels alike, it was a very good night's rest in East Glacier."
Glacier Peaks Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is the second year we have stayed at Glacier Peaks Hotel while visiting the east side of Glacier National Park. Modern hotel, clean, nice staff. (I would compare it to a Hampton Inn or Fairfield Inn) Breakfast is a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, and some kind of potato. They have the standard waffle maker, breads, cereals, everything you need to fuel up for a day on the trails. Popcorn in the evening is a nice touch. 15 minute drive to east glacier/two medicine area. 45 minutes to St Mary visitor center(going-to the sun road). Just over an hour to many glacier area. We will stay here again!"
Sinopah #5
8/10 Good
"A good place to rest. The bathroom exhaust vent on the exterior was very loud from the high wind and kept waking me up in the middle of the night. The price was pretty high for what it is. My wife and I stayed a week and found it was a bit too small for us staying as long as we did. We bought groceries as well and there was no where to eat them. They do have picnic tables outside but it was raining most of the time and cold so we did not use those. We did see a bear on site next to our cabin so that was neat. May stay here again if it was cheaper."
St. Mary Village
8/10 Good
"Very basic but had everything we needed."
Glacier Park Lodge
8/10 Good
"For a 100+ year old lodge the room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The employees were friendly and helpful. We found several comfortable places to sit and enjoy our surroundings."
Juniper Lovely 1-bedroom cabin with AC in East Glacier Park
10/10 Excellent
"The Juniper cabin is the last one in a row of standalone units on the north side of Highway 2, just to the east of East Glacier. It was very clean, all disclosures about spring water and storage tanks were appreciated/noted, and the heater warmed up the unit quickly. Other reviews mention the train frequency - yes, this is part of life along the hi line. Trains can be nearly every hour. Do Bring ear plugs if you know you wont like the noise. Loved the extra tea bags and electric kettle! The place is small but cozy and has everything one needs."
Rising Wolf Cabin Glacier National Park Centralized location for exploring
10/10 Excellent
"Very close to East Glacier Park entrance. The host was friendly and helpful."
Glacier Alpine Lodges
10/10 Excellent
"What a cute place - with everything you need and very comfortable. Just so you know, the stairs to the bedroom area are very steep, so be careful!"
Charming 1-bedroom cottage in tranquil East Glacier Park with WiFi, AC
10/10 Excellent
"Property is as described/pictured, cleanliness at the expected level. Price was high for us but we recognize this is relative to the area. Accommodation is as small as the pictures show so wouldn’t do for more than 1 night for us. A few notes for other planners: only 2 usable pillows and only potable water is from bottles (multiple provided by host)."
