"Excellent food at breakfast and evening meals, in fact my son-in-law, and my two grandchildren that had a meal with us on our first night, said it was the largest plate of quality food he's had! I must agree and like many of us in the restaurant, couldn't finish the meal, and I can tell you now, that it is not very often for my son-in-law! Staff are amazing and very helpful, they work very hard to please the guests, and they succeed. I don't have many gripes, what I fo are minor. Decor in some areas can be a bit tired, but it is clean. Same for rooms, tidy, clean, and the one we had was spacious, the mattress was a bit firm for us but that's our choice. The room we had looked over the spacious car park, and even with windows closed, there was some road noise, and people talking loudly below us where smokers go out, this was not too bad and wasn't for long periods. The light in the car park is very bright, obviously for security and safety reasons, this, even with the curtains closed still lit up our room, this light went off at midnight. Overall though, it's a lovely place to stay, and near enough to the town and beach to walk."

Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort

"Lovely place to stay. Excellent breakfast. Slight problem with, I presume memory foam mattress which is far hotter than we are used to. We also invited friends over for a meal in the bistro. Very disappointing, very slow to get the meals (over 30 minutes?). I think my burger had been sitting around on a hot plate for ages as the bun was totally dried out and hard, my husband said the same of his. Our guests obviously didn't complain apart from we had specifically ask for no tomato on one of their burgers and it turned up with tomato!"

"Very friendly staff and good hotel for swimming, dog friendly, disabled accessible, nice bar and food was good (tho they ran out of some items). Nice golf clubhouse. Room was a bit run down and very warm. Good location to explore Wells, Cromer, Norwich and other areas"

"Very happy with our stay at this hotel. Plenty of parking. You register your car with their system so you don't get charged. The breakfast was nice, rooms clean and had everything you would need. Very happy with our stay and would choose to stay again."

"A really nice hotel which was our second visit. Within easy reach of Norwich city, it has nice facilities. Bedrooms are very nice and a good nights sleep was had. The food is very nice and breakfast is a self service with a decent choice. Staff are very polite and helpful."

"Great location and lovely hotel. I did see there was a pillow menu but it would be nice to have good pillows on the bed without having to ask for them. The ones we had were foam and quite hard. We had dinner in the Wine Press restaurant which was very good but only realised there was an alternative menu when a member of our party asked about the different meal they'd seen another table receiving. We had been given the set menu with no option for any other. Guests should be offered both menus to chose from Other than that the hotel was lovely, the staff helpful and we enjoyed our stay"
