Upon arrival, the house temp was 80 degrees (same as outside) at 4:00pm and hadn't cooled one degree in the first half hour- the rental agency had closed early and didn't answer phone, no response from the owner despite VRBO message- the A/C cools VERY SLOWLY- 2 degrees/hour and it took till 9:00pm to get to a comfortable 72 degrees. It stayed down after that but the weather got cool the rest of the stay. The house is fine, fairly recently renovated- all 4 rooms are on the one floor of living space and no bedrooms have an en-suite bath so one must walk by living area to get to bathroom so privacy and getting away from living area noise is limited. Kitchen is well equipped but some appliances had issues (traditional coffee pot didn't work, toaster taped together, fridge side guard kept falling off so wouldn't hold anything, one stove burner never would heat to high)...the ocean view and closeness to beach is great, the porch is very nice- not responding at all to the A/C upon our arrival was disappointing-we did find emergency call instructions finally (scan code on fridge magnet) but A/C didn't qualify on their list of after hour "emergencies"....as long as you are OK with these issues, I would recommend the house. A good time was had by all, even during the crazy storm- great sunsets from porch.
