"Nice place! When you arrive at the pub it doesn’t look the best place ever but the rooms are in great condition clean well located and very functional. You access by a separated door so don’t have to get into the pub! Good place! Parking can be tricky as there are only four spaces and they are in high demand always! I didn’t have a problem parking on Saturday afternoon and night! If you want to get good value for your money you are in for a budget option and don’t mind a bit of noise and the pub this is a great option! I would get back certainly!"

"Accommodation was fine though presented some difficulties for elderly, disabled. The couches were low and deep, which meant they had difficulty rising. Likewise the shower over the bath meant it could not be used. Otherwise a very comfortable place with good provision of kitchen needs; comfortable beds; and beautiful countryside."

"We had a really lovely time at the Shepherd's hut. The hot tub was absolutely amazing on a chilly morning and it was lovely lying in bed listening to the owls. Sam was extremely welcoming and was very eager to ensure everything was perfect which it was. Lots of great places to visit near by - we did the cuckoo trail on our bikes, seven sisters walk, long man walk and a sunset walk along pevensey bay. "

"The property is lovely and separate from the mail house which is nice. The hosts are great and helped us out when we had to stay longer. As described and a great and relaxing boot hole. Particularly nice was milk in the fridge when we arrived for the available tea and coffee. A really nice touch!"

"If you're looking for a peaceful stay in a period country house then Cleavers Ling is the perfect place for you. Our bedroom was comfortable. The breakfast room, with its oak beams and inglenook fireplace set the scene for our host, Sally, to bring us full English breakfasts, (my eggs were poached to perfection). Tea from a large silver service tea pot poured without dripping on the linen tablecloth and the toast from the toast-rack rounded off the meal and set us up for the morning. We were also offered home made banana bread wrapped up for a mid day snack. All this made our three night stay....perfect. Thank you Sally!"

"The barn was very comfortable and convenient for visiting family in Hastings. There was a little road noise early mornings and evenings but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the stay. The one downside was the Vax cleaner was not very good."
