Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport

"This is not the hotel that is right off the airport terminal but the shuttle does make it easy and convenient when arriving and departing from FCO. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff provided excellent and pleasant service. For the most part, the food at the restaurant was well prepared. The one disappointment was how Hilton chose to cheap out and Americanize the breakfast which we still paid for. It was not a free continental breakfast and I have to say after some really great continental breakfasts throughout our stay in Italy the biggest disappointment was the reconstituted powdered scrambled eggs. Hilton, on this point you need to do better. If Italian hotels and b&bs can do a better continental breakfast, I don't see why you can't either. Fewer options and better quality would not be an issue for us."

"It was a clean property, no complaints, staff was friendly, you can refill your bottle with regular or sparkling water in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was very good. For the Metro you may need to walk a little may be 10 minutes, but bus almost at the door. For restaurants you may need to walk a little bit, area a little dark at night but safe."

"I had such an amazing experience at Mama Shelter! The rooms were clean and crisp. The breakfast was delicious! The rooftop bar is such a vibe! The staff was top tier! Extremely helpful. Loved how close it was to lots of restaurants, and to the Vatican! When in Rome, stay at Mamas!"

"Hotel was fantastic, it is a few minutes walk from the subway so getting around was much easier than I thought it would be. The gentleman at the front was incredibly helpful with directions. The only thing that might be a little off is that once you step out of the hotel you can easily take one step and be on the road. The bathroom was AWESOME even though they dont use the sauna anymore since."

"The property itself, the staff, and our room was wonderful!! The water pressure was perfect, the AC was working perfectly, and the bed was comfortable!! My only concern was bus transportation to the train. You cannot get to the train by walking, even though Expedia says you can.The only way is by bus or taxi. We opted for the bus as it’s wayy cheaper. The bus was about a 10 min walk from the property but to access it you had to walk on the highway which wasn’t so bad, however when we would take the bus returning back to our hotel, the bus lets you off on the other side of the highway so you have to literally walk up and over the bridge while looking out for cars. This was particularly concerning, especially at night because the road isn’t lit up. Best bet is to pay the uber/taxi prices to the train or stay in the city center if you want access to all the trains."
