"We had the best stay at Lake Oconee. The house was beautiful and right on the lake. It was the perfect getaway for our family of all ages. Our little ones especially liked getting to ride on the kayaks. The host is extremely responsive via email and text. Check in and check out was a breeze. Will definitely stay here again if we're every in the area. "

I think that, given a little amount of effort and focus on concierge level service, this property could become a real resort type experience. Get a little creative and watch the rooms fill up. "I did NOT stay here. The room was sub par to say the least. There was mice fecal matter on the bed, stains on blankets, sheets and pillow cases. Also some dusty trap door over the bed. Stink bugs in the room. I have pictures. When the owner was told (right after check in) she called me a liar, and proceeded to tell me that I brought mouse poop with me. She would put me in another room but as I did not feel comfortable so she told me I was “crazy! And would not get my money back.” I then had to get a different hotel. The 2 stars for staff is for the guy who works there was nice Management was horrible and combative. "
