"We stayed in room 5 on the first floor for 2 nights. Pros: great location for visiting the Cotswolds. Stow is a lovely place and the pub is very welcoming. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable and clean. Cons: we could hear the neighbours walking across the floor upstairs late at night. We could also hear them flushing their loo and using the shower. The walls up the stairs to the rooms were very marked and need a good paint refresh. The worst thing for me was the issue with carpet moth, both on the stairs landing and also in the room behind the desk under the tv. It’s so apparent that it’s like an infestation and needs serious pest control attention. It affected my stay as it made the place feel dirty. For that reason I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning. It is very overpriced for what you get. "

"The heaters didn’t all work. We emailed the host in that regard but didn’t receive a response. The toilet lid was loose in the ensuite and the shower also sprayed water. There was no baking paper or glad wrap. The property was otherwise ok and well located it could just do with some attention to detail. For AUD750/night it would be reasonable to expect a little better."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this attractive and cosy cottage. It was very well equipped and fairly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The setting is lovely and peaceful. The only downside for us was that it wasn’t very practical to walk into town in the evening, and the road between the parking area and the cottage was quite busy. Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"Beautiful cottage on outskirts of Bourton. Easy walk into the centre. Really enjoyed a walk into Stow on the Wold from the cottage. Ideally placed to visit lots of lovely villages in the area."

"The house was really spacious and comfortable and worked very well for our group of two grandparents, four parents and our four children aged 6 to 14. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings (double oven, plenty of dishes and oven trays etc) and a dining room table that comfortably fitted us all and crockery and glasses that rose to the Christmas occasion! We appreciated that the house had been tastefully decorated for the festive season. We spent a lot of time in the cosy front room, and also enjoyed various walks from the house, particularly walking up to Stow a few times, and also through to Lower and Upper Slaughter and across the ancient fields at the back as mentioned in the information left in the house. I really appreciated the comprehensive information left by the owner, it really felt as though we were being welcomed to the house and the fact that the time was taken to note how to make the most of the area and tell us about all the ins and outs of everything in the house (maps, walks, best washing machine programmes, etc!) made me feel really welcomed. "We stayed for Christmas and the house was perfect, plenty of space and had most things we needed. The garden was amazing for our dog and secure. The only little niggle (which wasn’t really a problem) was that the double bedroom to the right of the house seems to have a problem with ladybugs coming in through the window frames. Other than that we can’t fault this house at all."
