Mountain comfort

Excellent location and views with affordable options for room and food choices (affordable by regional standards). The hotel is spotless and the staff is remarkably friendly and helpful. For a gourmet meal, walk down to the sister hotel, the Villars Palace. Experience the deck with a vast view and a historic bar/apothecary and lounge. Even the shared bath single rooms are cozy.

We knew we were getting a bunk room, which worked fine for our family. But we didn't know that there was some sort of big reunion/ convention going on at the same time we were there, so we had a dj blasting music right out our window and people were smoking right outside our window and their smoke filled our room since it was very hot and we had to have our windows open to get some air. The dj stopped at 10pm but the people congregated for several more hours which made it challenging to sleep. The room was basic but nice. The facilities were nice and breakfast was good.

The hotel was really nice and the staff were wonderful, I was only disappointed in the fact that it wasn’t not clear when booking that the hotel charges a car park fee of 15 CCF.

Great service and good quality on the rooms.

The room was not prepared when I arrived, but the people in the reception fixed that very quickly with an upgrade to another (and bigger) room. Overall a very nice place to stay. Also a fairly big parking on the site (extra cost per night). Great service from the staff!

Wonderful Stay at The Villars Lodge!

My stay was great! The kind lady at the reception desk was friendly, interested in my stay, and exceedingly helpful. The same kind lady was at the reception desk Saturday morning and was just as friendly and helpful as the night before. She seemed genuinely concerned about me because it was raining and I had no umbrella. She showed me the way to the bus station and told me where I could stand out of the rain until the bus arrived. The room was great. The staff, even better!
