"Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber! Wir fanden es etwas kühl im Zimmer, konnten aber die Heizung etwas aufdrehen und dann wurde es besser. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück war lecker. Das Nachtessen und die Küche sind gehoben und sehr lecker."

Rooms are very spacious, bed and showers are good, but it is an ancient structure and building, so don’t expect modern rooms or furniture. Staff when available was very helpful. "The hotel is very conveniently located, within walking distance to the train station, grocery stores and a discount store. Make sure to walk to Rheinfelden, Switzerland, which is a very nice, underrated town.
The breakfast at Hotel Danner was among the best of our 3-week European escapade. The staff at the front desk was excellent, especially the young man whose name I wish I remembered. He gave us very good advice about Basel.
