It's a clean room with a hot shower and it's cheap. Perfect place to stay after a day in Big South Fork.

Royal Inn was convenient to where I needed to be to meet my friends from TN. I was pleasantly impressed that it was managed by a family. The manager did a great job of greeting me and offering assistance if needed during my entire stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel was what we expected for the price. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the mattress was very hard.

Hopefully still working on the place

Inside room was super clean and has been recently remodeled. Next redo outside and clean up used ashtrays and cig butts. Oh and get tvs that work or better directions how to make them work. Have cleaners take old coffee out of coffee maker that was gross

Low budget great stay

This is a none expensive kind of hotel. The from desk friendly and those staying at the time I was there too. Room was very clean, had micro coffee maker fridge and air conditioning worked well and good lighting. Bed was comfortable TV had cable & movie channels. There is no luxury here but for the price you cant go wrong. It's close to food restaurants ice-cream parlor Wal-Mart pharmacy and automotive stores. Close to museums, waterfalls coal mine rivers forests and attractions in Tennessee and Kentucky area. I will stay here again. You make your stay what you want it to be. I made my stay here a great one!

Didnt get to stay so all 1 star as they had no booking recorded for us. 1 stars as unsure whether blame os down to hotel or hotels.com. Had to go find another place to stay at 6pm at night.

Very Clean. Bed comfort was ok. Sheets very clean. AC worked very well. Bathroom had a pink tub that’s how old it was but it was clean, water pressure was good, water was hot. Vanity was very small. Would have loved to have a table in the room. Customer service was very good. People were friendly.

I couldn't check into the property because they didn't have my prepaid reservation I made through Expedia. After 25 minutes of talking with the staff and Expedia's web portal, I was finally given a room. (The problem was with the motel, not Expedia.) I was given a room where the three guests in the next room over were loudly partying outside their room drinking beer and smoking. I asked to be moved and they eventually accommodated me. Two nights later, I had another guest sitting outside his room 2 doors down from mine while listening to power ballads on a boombox for hours. The hotel eventually asked him to quiet down without me complaining. At 10 pm that night, someone in the parking lot ran an impact wrench for 15 minutes. If you want a quiet place - do not stay here.
