Not Great
The house itself was beautiful. The pool was great, nice and warm. The hot tub worked well and was awesome. However we had LOTS of issues in the house.
1) The couch AND the chair in the living room were completely broken and unusable. The leg of the chair was not attached so no one could sit in it the entire stay. And the couch, as you see in the photo, has an adjustable back. The problem was that it was missing! The back of the couch was not there. So it was more like a bench. There was NO comfortable seating in the great room.
2) The water pressure and (even worse) the temperature was not sufficient. Most of us had cold showers the entire week, even if we were the first person to shower in the day.
3) The walls were kinda grimy. And the entire first floor is tiled, but it was sticky! Since it was the entire floor we think the cleaners must have used too much soap and not rinsed it.
4) The tub in one of the bedrooms was stopped up. When we went to use it, the water not only didn’t drain, but funky black stuff came up and out of it.
5) We contacted the management right away about the broken furniture and stopped up tub and they said they would come that day to fix the tub. They never showed up. Not at all. I emailed again and they never responded.
We have stayed in many VRBO homes over the years and it felt as if this one was doing the bare minimum. All of the furniture and pots and pans were as cheap and uncomfortable as possible. (The beds were ok though.) There were no personal touches, nothing to make you feel like the owner cared. But the worst thing was the broken furniture and the lack of response from management during our stay. We were very surprised by these things because the property itself is very nice and if there was just a bit more effort in maintaining the items IN the property, perhaps investing is some better quality furniture and kitchen utensils (there wasn’t even an ice cream scoop! And the tea kettle and pots had broken handles making them dangerous), as well as a sufficiently sized water heater and nicer shower heads, they would get raving reviews and lots of bookings. But as is, it made for a bit of discomfort. Having spent quite a bit for a family vacation home to spend quality time together as a family in, and then having absolutely no comfortable seating for the entire stay, as well as unpleasant showers, and minimal ability to use the lovely kitchen since it was so poorly stocked, was very disappointing.
